Race 3.
TOFF CHOICE returns
from a 12 week rest and has not had the benefit of a barrier trial, but he had
shown steady improvement in his last two runs before the break and only just
failed to win his latest outing when third over a mile. He has a wide draw to
negotiate, but he should be doing his best work late and looks to be the value
in the contest. HIGH FASHION
is a 3yr old
filly taking on the boys, but she is seldom far off the action and should turn
in another honest performance here.
POWERFUL FLYER has only had the two runs to date, but
showed some improvement second time out when finishing fourth over six
furlongs. He steps up again in trip today and if he has continued to improve,
he should be involved in the finish here.

Race 5.
VLADIVOSTOK has
consistent formlines to his credit and has finished second in his last two
outings over seven furlongs. He was only narrowly denied victory on both those
occasions and despite having a wide draw to overcome, he looks to be the one to
side with here. CHATELAINE is a 4yr old filly
taking on males. She followed up win over a mile in her penultimate start with
a second-place finish over six furlongs next time out. She jumps from a handy
three gate and could be the immediate danger to the top choice. BLACK AND TAN is a 5yr old mare who has cracked
pole position. She finished fifth last time out when stepping up to seven
furlongs and a repeat of the effort should see her right up there when they hit
the line. BROKEN TREATY is a 4yr old filly who
returns from a 25 week break and has not had a barrier trial, so her fitness
will have to be taken on trust. She was a little disappointing in her last run
before the rest, but she did win over this trip three runs back and should be
included in all bets.

Race 6.
BRIMM is
a 5yr old mare taking on boys, but she showed good improvement when fifth last
time out over 1300M. She steps up in distance for today’s run, but she was only
a short head loser the last time she went over the mile, so this should not be
an issue. She has a wide gate of eleven, but she could use her early gate speed
to get across without expending too much energy. BOOMSTOCK did not seem to quite enjoying going over nine furlongs last
time out, but now drops back to a mile where he finished second two runs back.
His wide draw of sixteen is of concern, but with a bit of luck in running, he
could threaten the former.
SO YOU BEAUTY is a 3yr old filly who also has a wide draw
to overcome, but she won her last outing over seven furlongs when racing up with
the pace, so her draw may not be a big problem. UNFAIR DISMISSAL has a much kinder draw of six and
stayed on well last time out over seven furlongs, suggesting that he could
enjoy going over the extra ground.

Race 7.
A 4yr filly and a
5yr mare could fight out the finish to this race, with
SWORD OF MERCY getting
the nod. She has won three races on the bounce, the latest being over this
trip. and although having a wide draw of seventeen to deal with, she should be
picking off the frontrunner in the closing stages of the race. FILL THE FLUTE has put in a pair of solid efforts
in her last two outings over sprint distances. She is recorded as having
finishing sixth last time out over 1100M, but was only 1.9L behind the winner.
She is sure to put her draw two to good use here and could challenge the top
pick.
MAKE IT
COUNT
drops down
in trip after two solid efforts over six furlongs and may do better as a
result.

Race 8.
PUEBLO’S
last two runs
have been encouraging and did finish second in his latest outing over ten
furlongs, only a head behind the victor. From draw two, he should be right up
there in the firing line. PROTECTION MONEY followed
up his penultimate victory over ten furlongs with a solid effort next time out
over the same distance. He too has a handy draw and there should not be much
separating the pair when they reach the finishing post.
SIRIUS
DEAL
also won his penultimate run, but over nine furlongs. He put 2.3L
between himself and the balance of the field that day. He was not disgraced in
his next start when second over a mile and should make his presence felt in
this line-up.

Race 4.
ZIP ZAM ZOOM returns
from a 34 week rest, but was an easy winner of his barrier trial to prove this
fitness. He had consistent formlines to his name prior to the break and is
taken as the best bet on today’s program. FUSION is
a 3yr old filly taking on the boys. She has her first run after a 20 week break,
as well as her first outing for her new trainer, but she has also had the
benefit of a barrier trial and could threaten the top choice. ICELANDER is another who has his first run for his
new conditioner and if fully settled into his new surroundings, he could
trouble the top two picks.

Race 5.
THEHUNTSMEN showed
marked improvement in his last two runs and finished second last time out over
a mile when closing fast in the latter stages. He gets to jump from gate five
and could be the one to side with here. SMART FASCINATOR is a 4yr old
filly taking on males and drops from the eleven furlongs of her last outing
when finishing third. Her previous two efforts over the mile were encouraging
and she could prove the biggest danger to the former. PYRO was fourth last time out over this trip and
gets the blinkers re-fitted for today’s run. If these have the desired effect,
he should be involved in the finish.

Race 6.
With the late
scratching of one of her main rivals, the way may have been cleared for PEARLS
FROM HEAVEN
to chalk up her second career victory.
She is a 4yr old filly taking on boys, but she has cracked pole position and
was making good late progress when finishing third last time out over 2100M. She
should have no issue with the slightly longer trip.
ALBY’S PRIDE goes the extra distance from his last outing
over a mile, but did win over this c&d three runs back and will have three
kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice to aid his cause. DESIGNER PRINCE was a little disappointing last
time out over this distance, but if he was to recapture the form of his
previous two outings, he would be a big runner here.

Race 7.
THE SINGING TIGER was
a narrow winner over six furlongs when making his debut. He would no doubt have
learnt from the experience and with the natural improvement that can he
expected, he could prove good enough to win again. His two draw is a plus. THE WITCH DOCTOR is a 4yr old filly taking on males and is drawn one
outside the former. She
gets the blinkers re-fitted today and
if these make her concentrate all the way down to the line, she could threaten
the top choice.
ALEXIS
OLYMPIA
is a 5yr
old mare who has pulled pole position. She showed marked improvement when
winning her last start over the c&d when friendless in the betting market.
If that was not just a one-off effort, she should be respected in this field.
PERCEIVE
is another 4yr old filly. She is a
speedy sort who is certain to appreciate the drop in distance from her last
outing over 1300M. She has a wide draw to contend with, but her style of racing
might not make this too big an issue.

Race 8.
SPEEDY MISS is
a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she has her hat-trick attempt here having
won her last two outings over this distance and the latest at this venue. She
is drawn in gate five and the trio of wins looks very much on the cards. Her
biggest threat may come from
STORMY RULER who showed good improvement last time out when second over the c&d,
just over a length off the winner. He will start from pole position and if
confirming that last effort, he should be right up there with the top pick in
the dash down to the wire. RECHARGER showed some improvement when
staying on last time out over the seven furlongs. He starts from a mid-field
draw and should be considered in this line-up.
