LONGCHAMP

Race 1 No4 PRINCESS DE SABA
Trainer: A. Marcialis – Jockey: M. Guyon

This talented grey juvenile is unbeaten from both starts and she put eight and a half lengths between herself and the runner-up at Lyon-Parilly. Both of those triumphs came over the minimum trip and she should take a power of beating in this opening contest with Guyon in the saddle.

Race 4 No5 KYLHEAD
Trainer: JP. Gauvin – Jockey: M. Guyon

This four-year old son of Dream Ahead is drawn wide but with this top rider in the irons, he should get across without using too much energy. He was only beaten by a head last time out at Clairefontaine and looks fairly-handicapped in this Class 2 contest.

Race 7 No8 TAEKWONDO
Trainer: P. Brandt – Jockey: M. Guyon

This five-year-old gelding has finished runner-up in his last two starts with Guyon in the saddle and looks set to fight out the finish of this contest. He was only beaten by three lengths last time out on slow going and he will enjoy the slightly firmer underfoot conditions predicted for this afternoon.

Race 9 No1 PEVENSEY BAY
Trainer: H. Shimizu – Jockey: S. Pasquier

This German-bred filly jumps from an outside barrier but she was only beaten just over a length last time out at Chantilly. She is improving with each run under the belt and should go close in the lucky last race. Also, it is encouraging that Pasquier has kept faith in the ride this afternoon.

DAX

Race 1 No9 ARMORIGENE
Trainer: W. Walton – Jockey: G. Guedj-Gay

This three-year old colt shoulders a handy galloping weight in this contest and he was only beaten by one and a half lengths last time out at Agen Le Passage. It is encouraging that Guedj-Gay has kept faith in the ride and he can make amends in the opening contest this afternoon.

Race 2 No5 PENNY YES
Trainer: D. Guillemin – Jockey: I. Mendzibal

This daughter of Penny’s Picnic was only beaten under a length last time out at Toulouse and Mendzibal knows her quite well. She looks fairly-handicapped in this contest and has her third run after a rest.

Race 4 No6 SWISS BANK
Trainer: F. Sanchez – Jockey: A. Gavilon

This Irish-bred gelding has narrowly failed in his last two outings and his third career win looks overdue. Gavilon was in the saddle for both of those efforts and they will be difficult to peg back in the closing stages of this handicap.

Race 7 No5 MOUNTASIR
Trainer: T. Fourcy – Jockey: J. Cabre

This fairly unexposed four year old showed heart in his latest tussle with BARADA AL CHAM and the pair look set to fight out the finish of this contest. If he can continue to improve then he may be able to shrug off yet another challenge from his recent rival and will be tough to get past in this contest.
