Race 3
KEEN ON GOLD has cracked pole position and has consistent formlines to his credit. He was only beaten a head last time out over 1300M and looks to be hard to topple here. BLITZEN PASTURE has only had the two runs to date and showed the expected improvement second time out. He is drawn one outside the former and looks the immediate danger to the top pick. LOUD NOISE was a little disappointing in his comeback run after a 33-week break, but if he is able to repeat his penultimate effort over 1300M, he should be involved in the finish today.
Race 5
DASHING SPECIAL has posted encouraging staying form to his name and finished third last time out over eleven furlongs, just 1.5L behind the winner. The drop in distance should not be an issue and he is expected to turn in another honest performance here. MERLIN’S MAGIC is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she finished well when winning last time out over 1700M, suggesting that the extra distance will be to her liking. MOMENTUM TO WIN also takes a step up in distance, but he stayed on well when second over a mile in his last outing and could well be looking for this greater test of stamina. FAIRY ME HOME is yet another who goes the extra trip, but he was slightly hampered in his last start over a mile and should have finished closer than he did. If taking to the extra ground, he should be right up there when they hit the line.
Race 6
STAYING BLACK has ultra-consistent form, winning well last time out over a mile. He gets to jump from gate five and should will be hoping to complete a quick double today. PRINNY’S SUCCESS is seldom too far off the action and was just 1.7L behind the victor last time out over the mile. He likes to race up with the pace in his races and should be a factor in this line-up, starting from his handy three draw. SPIRIT ESPRIT was making good late progress last time out when sixths over 1300M, two lengths off the winner. He has gate eight, but he should be doing his best work over the latter stages of the contest.
Race 7
MOSCINI stayed on well when narrowly beaten last time out over this distance. He jumps from gate three and could be the value bet on today’s program. COPYWRITER is a 5yr old mare taking on males, but she has pulled pole position and has recorded solid form over this distance. She shifted around in the closing stages in her last outing, but if keeping to a straight path here, she should be a big threat to the former. I DREAM OF GREEN showed some improvement last time out over six furlongs and gets the blinkers re-fitted for today’s run. If these have the desired effect, he should be right up there in the mix.
Race 8
STUCK WITH YOU won over 1100M on debut and then followed that success up with a running on second-place finish next time out over six furlongs, just a half-length behind the winner. He has pole position and on that last performance, he should relish going the extra ground on offer here. REUS was a half-length winner last time out over seven furlongs. He is drawn wideout at gate ten, but he gets the services of ex-SA jockey Robbie Fradd, so he will get all the necessary assistance from the saddle. SHE’S RUBICOOL is a 3yr old filly taking on boys, but she has shown gradual improvement in her last two runs and if she has continued down that same path, she may be able to trouble the top two selections.

Race 4
AVALON BAY will be looking to complete his hat-trick here after winning two in a row at this track. He is drawn the widest of them all, but he should be doing his best work late and is taken to be the best bet on today’s card. DIVINE QUEST on the other hand will jump from a handy two draw. She is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she was making good late progress in her last outing over seven furlongs and looks sure to enjoy going the extra distance here. ZIP YOUR LIPS returns from a 24-week break, but has put in two solid barrier trials. He has cracked pole position and could do enough to trouble the top two selections.
Race 5
MODERATOR has his hat-trick run here and won his penultimate start over 1675M, so the step up from the seven furlongs of his last victory should not be an issue. He starts from gate three and looks to be the one to side with here. BOLD SUCCESS has cracked pole position and showed good improvement last time out when just beaten a neck over a mile. He will get 3kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice to help his cause. ABERDEEN QUEEN is a 3yr old filly taking on males, but she missed out on her hat-trick last time out when fifth, 4.8L back over 1300M. She is drawn in gate four and will ensure that the boys know that they have been in a race.
Race 6
EXCELLENT DREAM has consistent formlines over sprinting distances to his credit. He returns from a 15-week rest without the benefit of a barrier trial and has a wide draw of fourteen, but he is likely to use his early gate speed to move across without using up too much energy. MY BLUEBOY is likewise seldom too far off the action and finished third last time out over this c&d. he jumps from gate ten and should be involved in the finish today. DOLCITY is a 4yr old filly taking on boys and drops back from her last start over 1100M. She is a speedy sort who should appreciate the shorter journey. Her handy draw of four is a plus. ROSES ARE RED is a 3yr old filly who won by nearly two lengths on debut over five furlongs. she would have learnt from that experience and with the natural improvement that can be expected, she should be right up there in the dash down to the wire.
Race 7
MIRROR MOON is a 3yr old filly taking on males, but she has only had the two runs to date, winning by two and a half lengths over 1300M at the second time of asking. She has pulled gate two and should give the boys a good run for their money. STARALIGN is seldom far off the winner and drops back in journey from the 1500M of his last outing. He has his first run for his new trainer and if fully settled into his new surroundings, he could pose a serious threat to the top choice. JAY DEE is a 4yr old filly who won her maiden race over six furlongs from the front. She steps up in trip here, but could prove difficult to reel in over the closing stages of this contest. FORGOTTEN JEWEL won over seven furlongs on debut, but was immediately rested for 19 weeks. He did however finish second in his only barrier trial and should be considered here despite facing the widest draw of them all.
Race 8
DOUBLE THE PRO had his consistency rewarded with a win last time out over 1300M. He has his first run for his new conditioner, but if he is fully acclimatized in his new environment, he looks to be the value in the race. FRIAR’S GIFT finished second last time out over 1300M and is likely to enjoy the drop in distance. He will get 4kgs removed from his allocated weight courtesy of his claiming apprentice and could be the immediate danger to the top pick. Although WANNA BE GOOD finished fifth last time out over six furlongs, he was just 2.2L behind the victor. He is unfortunately stuck out wide at draw fifteen, but he is sure to be picking off the frontrunner over the closing stages of the race.

Race 4
DARLEB has consistent formlines to his credit and finished second over 1300M last time out, just two lengths behind the winner. He was bumped at the 100M mark that day and did well to finish as close as he eventually did. He has a wideish draw of eight, but he should be right up there when they hit the line. MILITARY ACADEMY has made steady improvement in his last two runs and finished fourth in his latest start over six furlongs. He is drawn one outside the former, but he is a speedy sort and as such, this may not present a problem. TEMPLE RUN was only caught very late when finishing second last time out over six furlongs. He is likely to adopt similar tactics today from his gate five. THIS IS SO missed out on his hat-trick last time out over a mile and was rested for a full 53 weeks. He returns after having had two barrier trials and may have more to offer his connections.
Race 5
Two 4yr old fillies could dominate the finish to this race and complete the exacta here. TOCHI failed to complete her quartet of victories when dropping down to 1500M after her two prior wins over 1900M. She has her second run after a 16-week rest and steps up to the nine furlongs journey, which should be more to her liking. She is drawn the widest of them all, but nevertheless, she could be the one to be with here. SAVIGNE steps up in journey after winning going away from the opposition last time out over 1500m. She has a much kinder draw of four and could be the immediate danger to the top choice. LORD GODODDIN is the stable companion of the latter. He was staying on well in his last outing over 1900M when finishing second and looks a solid back-up for the yard. CHOCOLATIER was slightly disappointing in his latest outing over a mile, but his two previous efforts over 1500M were encouraging and from pole position, he must have some sort of chance in this line-up.
Race 6
LE GAI SOLEIL is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she is going for hat-trick today after recording two wins over seven furlongs. She has a wide drawn of twelve to negotiate, but she possesses plenty of early toe and should be able to move across without expending too much energy. She is made the best bet on today’s program. GALAHAD’S QUEST has finished second in his last two outings over 1500M and will be hoping to go one better today. He is drawn in gate eight and may be able to threaten the former. PEACE OF MIND is a 4yr old filly who won by just under a length last time out over 1300M. She steps up in distance, but the manner in which she finished off her last race would suggest that this is very much within her grasp.
Race 7
HIBISCUS LADY finished third last time out over this c&d, just two lengths off the winner. She is drawn in a handy gate two and will have the added advantage of having 3kgs taken off her back thanks to her claiming apprentice. She could represent the value in the race. BEST STONE goes for her hat-trick after posting two wins over six furlongs. She does return from a 19-week break but has put in two encouraging barrier trials, winning the first of them. Her wide draw of fourteen is of concern, but she should still be involved in the finish here. MEDITATE showed marked improvement in her last starts when finishing second over the c&d, just under two lengths behind the victor. She is drawn in gate eight and if she is able to reproduce that last effort, she should be right up there in the mix.
