Naas Best Bets

Race 2: No2 – SON AND SANNIE
Trainer: R. Brabazon – Jockey: O. Orr

This four-year-old gelding was only beaten by just under two lengths in his return to the races at Dundalk on the All-Weather track. It is encouraging that Orr retains the ride and they should be right there at the business end of affairs.

Race 4: No2 – EL PADRE
Trainer: A. Murray – Jockey: LF. Roche

This American-bred son of Declaration of War caught the eye at long odds when beaten just over a length in his debut at Roscommon. He will surely come on from the experience, looks to be a promising galloper in the making and can shed his maiden tag this afternoon.

Race 5: No13 – ACCLADORA
Trainer: TG. McCourt – Jockey: C. Maxwell

This six-year-old mare has her quirks, but she made a smart return to the races after a lengthy three-year layoff. In her comeback effort, she finished runner-up at Gowran Park, and it is encouraging that apprentice Maxwell has kept faith in the mount.

Race 7: No11 – SOUL SEARCH
Trainer: GM. Lyons – Jockey: CT. Keane

This promising three-year-old filly didn’t shape in a Group 1 event at Curragh last time out, but she looks the one to beat on her prior form. She is reunited with pilot Keane and the pair looks set to shed their maiden tag in the lucky last race.

Race 3: No9 – EMAIL ROSE
Trainer: H. De Bromhead – Jockey: R. Blackmore

This French-bred gelding finished runner-up in his last start when only beaten a length at the wire by Five O’clock. If returning fresh, then he can reach new heights this season.

Race 4: No9 – RAN RITE
Trainer: DM. O’Brien – Jockey: S. Flanagan

This seven-year-old gelding is coming along the right way. He was only beaten by just under three lengths last time out and with further natural progression, he can shed his maiden tag in this contest.

Race 5: No3 – MUTADAFEEQ
Trainer: G. Cromwell – Jockey: J. Moore

This Cromwell trained inmate is in search of a hat-trick this afternoon after winning a courageous battle with Jerandme last time out at Curragh. His win prior to that was with Moore in the saddle, which is encouraging, and they should be very tough to get past in this contest.

Race 7: No13 – TOOR MOMENT
Trainer: M. Flynn – Jockey: M. O’Sullivan

This brown mare brings the most attractive form amongst the raced runners in this contest. She was no match for the winner in her debut effort at Tipperary when beaten by fifteen lengths, but she will come on leaps with that experience under the belt and must be respected in the lucky last race.
