Racing this Saturday sees an entertaining twelve race programme at Kranji Racecourse with a host of top-quality racing on offer, the top bet and value bet, should be followed closely.

RACE 1 – Time: 06:00 Class 5 Handicap -1100m

Selections: 3/2/6

SNIP from the D Meagher stable was pipped in his last start when running on strongly for a short-head second over 1000m and looks the one to beat here from pole position. QAIDOOM ran on strongly over this course and distance last time. The 4-year-old filly will strip fitter today and can feature here.

RACE 2 – Time: 06:30 Restricted Maiden- 1200m

Selections: 11/3/1

THE STAR from the T Fitzsimmons stable ran on nicely to finish 3rd on debut over 1100m. The 3-year-old bay gelding will strip fitter today and must have a say here. The light-raced DIXIT DOMINUS is seldom far off. The son of Dissident is well-drawn today and must be included in all bets.

RACE 3 – Time: 07:00 Class 5 Handicap – 1600m

AUSPICIOUS DAY from the L Khoo yard was outrun late last time over 1400m when finishing a short-head second. The 7-year old bay gelding gets a 4kg claiming apprentice and will carry a very low mass and can upset here. SUNDAY showed good improvement last time and will strip fitter today. The 4-year old bay gelding recent win came over this distance.

RACE 4 – Time: 07:30 Class 4 Handicap -1200m

Selections: 3/2/1

LIM’S KNIGHT from the D Meagher stable runner-up in his last three starts. The 9-year-old bay gelding is back over 1200m and must be included in all bets. REIGNITE ran on nicely when finished 3rd over this course and distance last time. The 4-year-old bay gelding will strip fitter today and top jockey Manoel Nunes retains the ride.

RACE 5 – Time: 08:00 Class 5 Handicap – 1100m

Selections: 3/7/1

FAST AND FEARLESS from the J Peters yard ran on strongly to finish 3rd over this course and distance and last time. The 5-year-old chestnut gelding will strip fitter and is in with a chance. SUGAR RUSH stayed on at finish last time and will strip fitter. The son of Swiss Ace drops in trip and can feature here.

RACE 6 – Time: 08:30 Open Maiden -1400m

Selections: 2/8/11

The lightly-raced MELODY FAIR from the L Khoo stable ran on smartly to finish second over 1600m. The 4-year-old by gelding will strip fitter today and drops in trip. He must be included in all bets. MISSILE RAIN better second attempt over 1200m. The 4-year-old chestnut gelding will strip fitter and should enjoy the extra 200m. He still has plenty of scope.  

RACE 7 – Time: 09:00 Class 5 Handicap -1200m

SUMMER WIND from the Shane Donald Baertschiger yard showed good improvement last time when finishing second over 1400m. The 5-year-old bay gelding drops in trip and must have a say here. SUN RECTITUDE stayed on smartly to finish second over this course and distance last time. The son of Sepoy will strip fitter today and is well-drawn in pole position.

RACE 8 – Time: 09:30 Class 4 Handicap -1200m

Selections: 4/3/2

SIAM ROYAL ORCHID from the Michael Clements stable rates a chance on current form. The 6-year-old bay gelding enjoys this course and distance. He will strip fitter today and top jockey Manoel Nunes retains the ride. QUADCOPTER showed good improvement last time when finishing second over this course and distance. The son of Zoustar will strip fitter and must be respected here.

RACE 9 – Time: 10:00 Class 5 Handicap -1700m

Selections: 3/2/5

LION SPIRIT fair last two starts. The 5-year-old bay gelding best recent effort came over this course and distance when finishing a close-up 3rd. He will strip fitter today and must have a say. POROSHIRI from the Hideyuki Takaoka stable showed a lot of guts when winning a short-head over this course and distance last time. Interesting to note top jockey Manoel Nunes retains the ride. The only concern for the 5-year-old chestnut gelding he has to overcome a wide draw.

Race 10 – Time: 10:30 Class 5 Handicap- 1200m

Selections: 9/6/1

BURGUNDY LAD from the Desmond Koh yard is in good form. The 5-year-old bay gelding enjoys this distance and must be included in all bets. EASTIGER from the Donna Logan ran on strong for 3rd last time over this distance. The 7-year-old chestnut gelding is slightly better drawn today and must have a say.

Race 11 – Time: 11:00 Class 4 Handicap-1600m

Selections: 2/10/9

AMORE AMORE from the J Peters yard two impressive wins over this course and distance. The 5-year old bay gelding goes for the hat-trick today and must be included. BORN TO WIN from the T Fitzsimmons stable is in good form. His recent win came over this course and distance. If repeating that run, he must be respected here.

Race 12 – Time: 11:30 Class 4 Handicap-1100m

Selections: 7/5/1

The lightly raced GOLD TEN SIXTY ONE from the T Fitzsimmons stable was outrun late last time over 1200m. The 3-year-old grey gelding drops in trip now. Interesting to note top jockey Manoel Nunes jumps aboard. EIGHT BALL won well last time over this course and distance. The son of Stryker is well drawn in pole position and can follow up here.
