RICK BLAINE popped up at 11-2 when attracting clever late money in a Haydock maiden at the beginning of the month. There appeared to be no fluke about his triumph over 2-5 shot Daysan, who gets the chance to advertise the form at Chelmsford but too late in the day to have a bearing on this contest.

RED FORCE ONE has been active on the Flat but when last seen over hurdles readily took out a good race here in July. That snug defeat of Fair Mountain looks the best recent form on offer in this Listed handicap hurdle, and the selection gets weight from the majority of his foes.
