BABY CRYSTAL was beaten a couple of lengths by Supreme Lucky last time. It is encouraging that Purton has kept faith in the ride, and he should be fit enough to win now. MR VALIANT will relish the drop in class. He meets the right field and should be one of the leading contenders in this opening contest.
7:00 – Race 2 | Class 5 | 1400m

MEDIC ELITE has been frequently-raced this season and is holding his condition well. ZACIAN is winless from 30 starts but has been finishing his races off positively from off the pace. He is likely to adopt the same tactics from a wide draw and should be doing his best work in the closing stages.
7:30 – Race 3 | Class 4 | 1400m

SINGAPORE SPIRIT produced a fair last run on the All Weather. He will appreciate racing back on turf and 1400m seems to be the best trip for him at this stage of his career. TURIN WARRIOR has been narrowly-beaten in his last two starts at Happy Valley and will just need to transfer that form onto this track to have a say.
8:00 – Race 4 | Class 4 | 1200m

A AMERIC TE SPECSO was only beaten by a length under Purton last time. He is a lightly raced sort, has plenty room for improvement and should be one of the leading contenders in this type of line-up. E BROTHER followed up his recent win with a fair effort behind Top Top Tea. He was a beaten favorite on the occasion and will be looking to make amends.
8:35 – Race 5 | Class 5 | 1800m

GO GO SIXTEEN was beaten half a length by BOYS PARTY in a competitive finish last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror. SUPERB DADDY is the class-package in the race. He has some decent form lines to his credit and merits respect, despite having to give weight to the rest of the field.
9:05 – Race 6 | Class 4 | 1800m

The South African-bred SMILING TIME was beaten a couple of lengths by NICHOLSON RETURNS in his last start. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. FOREVER FOLKS should be cherry-ripe coming into this event and could be one to fill the trifecta spot.
9:35 – Race 7 | Class 4 | 1400m

JOYFUL GENIUS followed up his recent win with a smart effort when pipped at the wire by D Star. He won his penultimate start over this C&D and can get back to winning ways. JIANGXI STAMINA finished 2.5 lengths behind the top selection in his penultimate start. He is 1kg better off at the weights and should finish closer as a result.
10:05 – Race 8 | Class 1 | 1400m
Selections: 7/1/4
BELUGA has won most of his races over 1400m and it seems to be his preferred trip. He looks nicely weighted with 54.5kgs to shoulder and is the narrow first selection. HEALTHY HAPPY and THE GOLDEN SCENERY were only separated by a length last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms and there shouldn’t be too much separating them when they hit the line.
10:40 – Race 9 | Class 3 | 1200m

BEAUTY CHARGE has found one better in his last two starts. He was beaten just under a length by the progressive Gold Gold Baby last time, is nicely handicapped and will have plenty of followers. DECISIVE TWELVE has cracked a neat draw and will be looking to get his first win of the season.
11:15 – Race 10 | Class 3 | 1400m

MARADO has cracked pole and is going for four wins on-the-trot. He remains in Class 3 and on form is extremely difficult to oppose. GLOBAL HARMONY was beaten a neck by ATULLIBIGEAL last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights and could be one to cause an upset.
11:50 – Race 11 | Class 3 | 1600m

SUPER SUNNY SING is chasing a hat-trick of wins and Ho has interestingly opted to ride this son of Nicconi over GALLANT WAKING. He is a horse that is still on the upgrade and looks one of the better bets on the card. SINBA was an impressive winner in only his second Hong Kong start and despite coming in at the top of the weights, can make his presence felt in the lucky last!
