Her fellow three-year old MISS SABINA is developing her merit rating and she was an impressive maiden victress over seven furlongs at just the second time of asking recently.

MIGHTY ROCK relished the rise in distance as he stayed on well for 2nd in a competitive workrider’s event over this trip at the Vaal three weeks ago and he should continue to progress. HUMOUR ME fluffed his lines badly in his first start at the Vaal two weeks ago but showed fair potential at this venue prior to that. The Ideal World gelding is bred to love this step-up in distance and he certainly deserves another chance.

The Tarry yard is well-represented in this Pinnacle Stakes event where the classy GREEN PLAINS is best weighted on official ratings. She has her quirks but has kept her form really well in strong feature company and is certainly the one to beat from pole position.

Jockey: D De Gouveia – Trainer: M De Kock

The filly ONLY TO WIN had a highly successful four days recently as she quickened smartly to win a handicap at the Vaal before finishing a good 3rd at this level on this course a fortnight ago. She should have no issue taking on male rivals but is slightly out at the weights. The top weight ORPHEUS has disappointed in recent starts and he drops further in distance today.

The bay mare BONDIBLU has shown encouraging signs in stronger company recently and she is 3kgs better off with the runner-up of her last start, PARISIENNE CHIC for a 1.90 lengths deficit. She went close under this claiming apprentice in her penultimate run against male rivals on this track. The latter is better than her c & d record suggests and her best recent performance came with top rider Gavin Lerena in the saddle
