THE RISING LEGEND is still improving and there was plenty of merit in his recent half a length triumph over KREMLIN JUDGEMENT over nine furlongs. The son of Eightfold Path was having his first start on this tight circuit which shouldn’t have suited his running style but he came through the test with flying colours and was rather surprisingly upped just two pounds in his merit rating. The Woodruff inmate will relish this extra furlong. The latter is knocking hard at the door for his overdue second career win and the 1kg favourable turnaround with the top selection will be of great aid.

EVOLVER may have just found the ten furlongs beyond him when he weakened late on his handicap debut two weeks ago. Of course the former Cape resident relished this trip as he trounced his maiden rivals by nearly nine lengths on local debut in his penultimate outing and he will be cherry-ripe today.
