Winning Form Best Bets
Race 2: PILLAROFTHEEARTH(5)
Race 3: LET IT FLOW(5)
Race 4: ANCIENT CODE(12)
Race 7: STAR OF CAESOUR(12)
Magic Tips Best Bets
Race 2: PILLAROFTHEEARTH(5)

Jockey: Muzi YENI – Trainer: Roy MAGNER

PILLAROFTHEEARTH posted two smart seconds in open company in April and he is the obvious form choice with Yeni retaining the ride. He was caught late over this c & d recently and holds strong claims of going one better.

Race 3: LET IT FLOW(5)

Jockey: Marco VAN RENSBURG – Trainer: Lucky HOUDALAKI

LET IT FLOW was well-supported in the betting market and she obliged with a smart debut effort over this trip at the Vaal. The well-related daughter of Judpot may have gone closer but for issues at the start that day. That said, she finished strongly for a close 2nd behind a highly rated inmate from the powerful Mike de Kock team and her jockey was unsuccessful with his objection. She should make decent improvement with that experience and is well drawn on her track debut.

TOP BET
Race 4: KNYSNA ROSE(1)

Jockey: Anton MARCUS – Trainer: Joe SOMA

Top jockey Marcus makes the trip up to Gauteng solely to retain the ride on the Joey Soma trained imported maiden KYNSNA ROSE and that is significant. The daughter of Pluck has the credentials though and she was outrun late into 2nd by a promising first-timer on the standside course three weeks ago. That form was boosted when the 5th placed finisher Momo narrowly defeated the 4th placed runner CHARTER JET seven days ago. Her good draw is a major advantage and she should take a power of beating.

Race 5: JO MAMBO(2)

Jockey: Karl ZECHNER – Trainer: Michael AZZIE

JO MAMBO doesn’t jump on terms but still produced a quality last winning effort under a big mass over a similar distance two weeks ago. She was returning from a 12-week absence that day but ran on strong- ly to claim the eye-catching win despite conceding 6kgs to her older stablemate Zappy Choice. She clearly escaped with just the minimum two-pound penalty and the daughter of Mambo In Seattle will be fitter now. She will handle this rise in class and could take some beating from a midfield barrier.

VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:

Race 8: ROMAN EVENING(1)
Jockey: Sherman BROWN – Trainer: Leon ERASMUS

The speedy ROMAN EVENING shed his maiden tag in his only c & d showing and could again be competitive despite finishing behind a few of today’s rivals in recent clashes. His good draw is a major asset and the three-year-old can defy joint top weight.
