She must be closely watched during her three-year old term this season.

WINTER’S FORGE finally returns to the scene of her only career triumph which came over this c & d on debut. She has suffered some hiccups along the way but the smart daughter of Western Winter had a respectable last run in mixed company over further. She is slightly out at the weights here but will definitely prefer this minimum distance and merits healthy respect.

The improving PEAPACK quite surprisingly races with a pair of blinkers today despite returning to what could be his preferred distance. The chestnut certainly didn’t disgrace himself when staying on for 3rd in a decent line-up over seven furlongs two weeks ago and hardly surprisingly top jockey Khumalo retains the ride.
