The Knights will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to the Storm when they take on a Broncos side that went down to the struggling Sea Eagles last weekend.

The Knights suffered their first defeat of the campaign last weekend as they went down 12-26 to the Melbourne Storm at the Central Coast Stadium. The loss has seen them drop down to fourth on the ladders but they are still only a point off the second-place berth.

The Newcastle outfit have been the dominant force when the two sides have met in recent years winning the last two fixtures between the sides 26-12 and 15-10. They had struggled prior to that, however, losing the three games before those back to back victories with their biggest losing margin being an embarrassing 53-0 defeat back in 2016.

The Broncos had another weekend to forget with the Brisbane side going down 20-18 to the Dragons, who had yet to win a game up until last weekend.

Last weekend’s defeat was the Broncos third successive defeat since the League restarted. Their previous losses saw them go down 6-34 to Parramatta Eels and 0-59 to the Sydney Roosters.

There is some good news for Broncos fans as their skipper, Alex Glenn, is set to return from injury this week. He will be joined in the starting line-up by backrower Tevita Pangai Junior.

Verdict: Knights
While the Broncos could well kee this one within a handicap of around eight points, I simply can only see one winner here which is the Knights.
