Germany’s top-flight league, the Bundesliga, roars back into action in midweek with a full set of fixtures, with the highlight of Matchday 28: Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich – one of the biggest fixtures in world football. Tuesday 26 May

Borussia Dortmund 26/10
Draw 31/10
Bayern Munich 17/20
(18:30)

Dortmund have won 11 and drawn three of their last 14 home league fixtures, while they have scored at least 2 goals in 28 of their last 30 home league Games. Bayern have won 12 and drawn one of their last 13 league appearances, winning their last six on the road. The Achilles injury to Dortmund defender Mats Hummels is the key here. If he is available, Dortmund to Score Over 1.5 Goals at 11/10 is my play, but if he is out, Bayern at 17/20 should win. I am waiting for the Red Card/Bookings Markets, where a Red Card is around 7/2, while Over 4.5 Bookings around 11/10, looks an absolute gift.

Bayer Leverkusen 7/10
Draw 3/1
Wolfsburg 33/10
(20:30)

Leverkusen have won 11 and drawn one of their last 12 encounters in all competitions, while winning their last four home league matches. Wolfsburg have won three, drawn two and lost to Dortmund last Saturday in their last 6 league outings, while winning three and drawing one of their last four away league fixtures, though they’ve conceded at least two goals in five of their last six away from home. Leverkusen at 7/10 is the right call and to Win by More than one goal at 18/10 is also worth a shout. Leverkusen to Score Over 1.5 Goals at 6/10 looks a certainty, while Peter Bosz’s side to Score Over 2.5 Goals at 16/10 will have my money.

Eintracht Frankfurt 1/1
Draw 26/10
Freiburg 5/2
(20:30)

Eintracht have lost each of their last five league appearances, but four of those defeats were against the league’s Top 5 sides. But worryingly, they have conceded in 16 of their last 18 league games. Freiburg have won two of their last nine league encounters, while away from home, they’ve won one, drawn five and lost five of their last 11 matches and haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last 12 away league outings. With Eintracht having scored two goals against Bayern Munich last Saturday and with Freiburg’s poor away record, Over 1.5 Home Goals at 8/10 is the right call. The Draw at 27/10 looks the value bet.

Werder Bremen 34/10
Draw 3/1
Monchengladbach 7/10
(20:30)

Werder Bremen got back to winning ways last Saturday when they beat Freiburg 1-0 away, but their last seven home league appearances all ended in defeat and even worse, they scored only two goals in those seven games. The Foals have won five, drawn two and lost to Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen in their last nine league fixtures, while they have won their last three on the road. With Werder sitting six points from safety, they have to go for it, so goals look a formality. Borussia Monchengladbach should win, but I am going for the Draw/Away + Over 2.5 Goals at even money, while the Draw/Away + Over 3.5 Goals at 18/10 looks worth an interest.

Wednesday 27 May

RB Leipzig 7/20
Draw 9/2
Hertha Berlin 13/2
(18:30)

The return of Dayot Upamecano and Marcel Sabitzer saw RB Leipzig thrash Mainz 5-0 away last Sunday and having won six and drawn three of their last nine home league encounters, this should be a comfortable victory. New Manager Bruno Labbadia saw his team win his two matches in charge, while Hertha have won four and drawn two of their last six away league outings. RB Leipzig should win but even the (-1) Handicap at 8/10 looks short to me, so I am going RB Leipzig to Win Both Halves at 18/10. Hertha have scored seven goals in their two recent wins, with all seven being scored in the 2nd half, so Both Teams to Score in the 2nd Half at 18/10 is my value bet.

Augsburg 19/20
Draw 26/10
Paderborn 11/4
(20:30)

Augsburg won 3-0 at Schalke last Sunday and conceded in injury-time when losing 2-1 at home to Wolfsburg in their two league appearances since the break. Paderborn have drawn their last two league games but remain six points behind the Relegation Playoff Place, and with Dortmund and RB Leipzig to play in their next 2 league fixtures, this is a must-win. Augsburg to Score Over 1.5 Goals at 9/10 looks the obvious play. My Value Bet is Augsburg to Win and Over 3.5 Goals at 28/10.

Fortuna Dusseldorf 33/20
Draw 9/4
Schalke 33/20
(20:30)

Fortuna have won one, drawn six and lost one of their last eight league encounters, drawing the last four, while they have drawn three and lost two of their last five home league matches. Schalke have drawn four and lost five of their last nine league outings – scoring only 2 goals. They have drawn two and lost three of their last five away league appearances – without scoring a goal. Fortuna, at 33/20, will not have a better chance of winning, while the Draw No Bet at 17/20 looks the safe play on form. The value bet is the draw at 9/4.

Hoffenheim 29/20
Draw 26/10
Cologne 17/10
(20:30)

Injuries to their three main strikers continues to cost Hoffenheim, as they have drawn three and lost four of their last seven league appearances, losing their last three at home. Cologne have won three and lost two of their last 5 away league games, have scored in their last 13 league fixtures, but have conceded 21 goals in their last nine travels. Both Teams to Score + Over 2.5 Goals looks a formality but at 13/20, it looks a bit short, so I am going for Hoffenheim to Score Over 1.5 Goals at 9/10, especially with reports saying 1 or 2 of their forwards may return here. The Draw at 26/10 looks the value, in a tricky looking contest.

Union Berlin 5/4
Draw 49/20
Mainz 2/1
(20:30)

Union Berlin have lost their last three league encounters, while they have won one, drawn one and lost three of their last five home league matches. Mainz were beaten 5-0 at home by RB Leipzig last Sunday, but they have won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five away league outings against sides outside the Top 6. I fancy Mainz at 2/1 to cause an upset, while the Draw No Bet at 23/20 is worth a look, but taking 6/10 Mainz Win/Draw could be the right call. The value bet in what should be a desperate affair is the draw at 49/20.
