Despite Ancelotti’s public declaration of his desire to remain at the helm, the expiration of his contract without discussions of a new one has cast doubts on his future. Additionally, emerging interest from Brazil adds intrigue to the situation.

Ednaldo Rodrigues, President of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), has publicly stated that Ancelotti is a leading candidate to assume the role of Brazil’s national team manager either before or after next summer’s Copa America tournament. As a contingency, Fluminense manager Fernando Diniz has been appointed as an interim solution for Real Madrid.

Miguel Angel Diaz, in an interview with Cadena Cope, has suggested that it is “expected” for Ancelotti to depart from Real Madrid at the end of the season.

Although there is no official agreement with Brazil, Angel Diaz has indicated that Ancelotti may need to provide a response to Brazil’s offer by 31st December.

Should this season mark Ancelotti’s farewell, the list of potential successors is limited. While Julian Nagelsmann was previously linked to the role, he now manages the German national team, making a return to a familiar name within the Real Madrid community more likely.

Candidates such as Zinedine Zidane, Jose Mourinho, and Raul Gonzalez have been mentioned, with Xabi Alonso, currently excelling at Bayer Leverkusen, emerging as the front-runner.
