Italian Serie A: Gameweek 24

It promises to be another mouth-watering weekend in the Serie A. Log leaders, Inter Milan, dismantled their neighbours in the derby last weekend and will be looking to pull clear of the pack when they face Genoa. Juventus are quietly making progress and they’ll also be looking to close the gap at the top, while the clash of the weekend sees Roma take on AC Milan. Let’s get straight into it.

Torino  15/10
Draw 2/1

Sassuolo 19/10 (16:00)

Torino welcome Sassuolo in this the opening game of the weekend. After five drawn fixtures in a row, the hosts got back to winning ways, beating 18th place Cagliari 1-0 away from home. Torino are back at home for this contest, a place where they haven’t registered a win all season. The visitors, who are 15 points above them on the table, boasts the fourth best away record so far this season, even better than Juventus and Napoli. With that being said, Sassuolo look good value at 19/10 to start the weekend!

Saturday 27 February

Spezia  14/10

Draw 2/1

Parma 19/10 (16:00)

Fifth from bottom, Spezia, host 19th-placed Parma in the first game on Saturday. After beating AC Milan quite comfortably, the hosts were disappointing in their last game losing 3-0 to Fiorentina. Parma were leading 2-0 in their last game against Udinese and ended up drawing 2-2 and that should have dealt a blow to their confidence. With Spezia back at home and Parma surrendering a two-goal lead, the hosts should be able to just edge it.

Bologna 26/10

Draw 26/10
Lazio 9/10 (19:00)

Bologna are undefeated in their last three encounters, winning one and drawing three. They now face UEFA Champions league hopefuls Lazio and it promises to be a tight encounter. The visitors won their last game 1-0 against Sampdoria to find themselves within touching distance of the Champions League places. With Lazio wanting bigger things this season and Bologna not really in any trouble, the willingness to win and achieve should be evident in the Lazio players’ performances. Add the away team in all multiples!

Hellas Verona  48/10

Draw 32/10

Juventus 11/20 (21:45)

Hellas Verona come into this tie after conceding a late equaliser against Genoa, they also find themselves 11 points behind the visitors and should find the going tough. Juventus brushed aside bottom of the table Crotone quite comfortably in their last encounter to win 3-0. With the top of the table in sight, Juventus should be added into all multiples.

Sampdoria 4/1

Draw 23/10

Atalanta 6/10 (13:30)

Tenth place Sampdoria host free-scoring Atalanta who are 13 points above them on the table. Atalanta have won their last three league games on the bounce, with an impressive 4-2 win against Napoli coming in their last encounter. Sampdoria really have it all to do here even though they won 2-1 in their last home encounter to Fiorentina. Back the visitors in all multiples!

Inter Milan 1/5

Draw 58/10

Genoa 14/1 (16:00)

Log leaders, Inter Milan, were ultra-impressive in the Milan derby winning 3-0. The league’s top goal scorers also boast the division’s most impressive defensive record and they should be extremely hard to look past, even for their visitors Genoa who are undefeated in their last six games. My money is on Inter here.

Crotone 19/10

Draw 5/2

Cagliari 13/10 (16:00)

Basement dwellers, Crotone, host third from bottom Cagliari. Both teams are in a dismal run of form with Crotone’s last win coming on 17 December, while Cagliari’s last victory came on 25 November. This does look like a must-win match for both sides, hence the reason I’m tipping Both Teams to Score at 7/10.

Udinese 13/10

Draw 22/10

Fiorentina 2/1 (16:00)

Two teams who are locked on 25 points each face off in this contest. After winning two in a row, Udinese are winless in their last two encounters, while Fiorentina got back to winning ways in their last tie, beating Spezia 3-0. With nothing to separate the teams, I’m expecting a cagey affair and the First Half Draw at 15/10.

Napoli  4/10

Draw 29/10

Benevento Calcio 6/1 (19:00)

Napoli are in a poor run of late, only winning one of their last six matches across all competitions. They face a Benevento side who are winless in their last eight fixtures. With Napoli being at home, they won’t get a better chance to get back to winning ways then this encounter. I fancy the hosts to get the job done at 4/10.

Roma 13/10

Draw 24/10

AC Milan 19/10 (21:45)

The Italian football schedule for gameweek 24 looks as if they saved the best for last as fourth placed Roma host second placed AC Milan. Roma are undefeated at home and they also boast the best record on home soil in the league. They face an AC Milan team that are lacking confidence at the moment, losing their last two games. With Roma’s home record so strong, they should be able to win this.

TREBLE @5/1

Sassuolo Win 19/10

Juventus Win 11/20

Napoli Win 4/10
