Italian Serie A – Soccer Previews

Serie A: Week 38 Preview

Our La Liga tipster takes a look at the final set of fixtures for the season.

The end is near – well that is of course for the Italian Serie A. But cheer up; at least we have one final gameweek to go. Which means we can still squeeze a buck or two from the final round of matches. Gameweek 38 of the Serie A will see four games on Saturday and the rest on Sunday.

All eyes will be on Napoli and Roma, who are still battling it out for second spot, and an automatic place in Europe’s most prestigious club competition – the UEFA Champions League. That means their games have to be played simultaneously.

In the relegation dogfight, it’s all down to Carpi and Palermo now, so their matches have to be simultaneous too. Juventus and Sampdoria will lock horns in an early kick-off on Saturday to give time for the Scudetto trophy presentation. So for the last time this season, let’s get to it!

Italian Serie A: Week 37 Preview

Week 37 of the Italian Serie A may not decide the fate of the title but there’s still some fantastic entertainment and plenty money making opportunities in-store.
Juventus celebrated the Serie A title in style with a 10th successive league win against relegation-threatened Carpi last time out. They were crowned champions for the fifth season in a row last week when Napoli, their closest challengers, lost to Roma.
So with the league already wrapped up we can turn our attention to the Champions League places, as well as the relegation dogfight. The battle between Napoli and Roma for the second automatic spot in the Champions League will go down to the wire, whilst on the other end of the table, Hellas Verona have already confirmed their status as relegated.
There may be just two gameweeks to go, but that’s plenty of time for us to find a few winners.

The Serie A title race is over – Juventus were crowned Champions of Italy after Napoli failed to beat Roma on Monday night. It completes a stunning rise for the Turin side, who were in 12th place and 11 points off the top on 28 October 2015.

That’s not to say there won’t be any more competitive matches as the race for second-place looks set to go down to the wire, with Napoli just a mere two points clear of Roma.

Further down the table, Hellas Verona were the first team whose relegation was confirmed, but who will follow? Frosinone and Palermo are favourites for the drop, but Carpi are only three points clear of the dog box. Will there be yet another twist in the tale? Let’s find out.

Just half a dozen games to go, defending champions Juventus remain in the driving seat in what was yet another successful week for the Italian giants. The Old Lady are six points clear at the top of the table with just six games to go. Though, Napoli are by no means just going to hand them the title, and showed that last weekend, after thrashing basement dwellers Hellas Verona 3-0. But let’s move on from that – gameweek 33 has a few enticing encounters, which include Inter Milan locking horns with title challengers Napoli in this week’s blockbuster.

It looks as though defending champions Juventus are heading for a fifth consecutive Serie A title after Napoli faltered last weekend, going down 3-1 at Udinese. The Old Lady are now six points clear at the summit of the table, but face a daunting task this weekend when they face AC Milan at the famous San Siro Stadium. Napoli will look to return to winning ways with a pretty straight forward encounter against bottom-of-the-log Hellas Verona, whilst high-flying Roma are proving unstoppable at present, they should have little issue seeing off Bologna.

Last weekend saw seven of the 10 match-ups produce Over 2.5 Goals, as well as the Both Teams To Score market. It’s not to say the same will happen this weekend, but it’s a guideline as to where you could place your precious money.

Let’s find out what gameweek 32 has in store for us.
