Brian “Spiderman” Baloyi has revealed which shirt number was close to his heart.
The flamboyant shot-stopper who was known for acrobatic saves played for Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns. Baloyi has exclusively told Hollywoodbets Sports Blog that two of the shirt numbers he wore during his trophy-laden career actually meant something.
“I wore jersey number 16 at Chiefs and the reason was because it’s my birthday date, 16th March”
Baloyi enjoyed a great deal of success during his time with the Naturena outfit before making a move to Chloorkop where he won a further two league titles and a few other trophies.
“When I moved to Sundowns I wanted a new identity and fresh start and I chose 91 because that’s the year I turned professional 1991”.
