Chiefs are waiting on the Premier Soccer League for their final verdict over the outcome of them having snubbed two league games in December over the Coronavirus outbreak in their camp.

The AmaKhosi have stated they will legally fight having to forfeit the six points for the two fixtures if needed.

The 50-year-old Matshitse told KickOff.com, that it was tough to lose any points in the league race but felt Chiefs looked like they have a chance of avoiding being deducted the six points and fined instead for the no-show against Arrows and City.

“Every time you lose three points it hurts, it leaves a huge gap,” Matshitse told KickOff.com.

“You gain three points you find yourself moving from position 10 to 6, you drop three points it hurts you in the long run.

“We all know the rules when it comes to Covid, if you have it then you can’t infect the others.

“People’s safety was the main concern in Chiefs’ decision not to honour the two fixtures, I don’t think Chiefs will lose the six points though.

“The way I understand South African football Chiefs will be fined, and they will be allowed to play the two games.

“I’m expecting them to be fined and nothing more.”
