The 31-year-old midfielder is, however, just one of a number of injury concerns for boss Stuart Baxter.

Chiefs have been out of action for the past two weeks during the international break, since drawing 1-1 with AmaZulu in the DStv Premiership.

A number of their players have though been away on duty for their countries, with Baxter confirming his updated casualty list.

He said on Soccer Laduma: “The lads coming back from Bafana Bafana are in good spirits, obviously after the good results, they are okay. And the others also representing their national teams came back fully fit, so they are all training properly.

“Our injuries, unfortunately Lebo Manyama has broken down again and we pulled him from training, so he is back to the rehab programme. Samir (Nurkovic) has had an operation and obviously it’s too soon to say anything. Siya (Ngezana), Leo Castro and Dumisani Zuma are all working hard to get back – but they are nowhere near playing.”

Next up for Chiefs is league match with former boss Gavin Hunt’s Chippa United.
