TS Galaxy’s Mpho Mvelase inflicted pain in the SuperSport United camp netted the only goal of the game after 52 minutes at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium this past Saturday to leave SuperSport on 34 points from 22 games in the DStv Premiership.

Hunt’s side are now five points adrift of second-placed Stellenbosch with a Nedbank Cup quarter-final tie against Steve Barker’s side to prepare for a league tie over Polokwane City to keep their Caf Champions League hopes alive.

The head coach wants his team to take their chances or face dropping out of the top eight, with Cape Town City, Kaizer Chiefs, and Golden Arrows hot on their heels.

“It is just unfortunate and I don’t think they were disciplined, and I think TS Galaxy had one chance the whole game and they scored,” said Hunt.

“We had a lot of shots and opportunities but we didn’t let the final ball count. Once they went ahead, they went nowhere so fair play to them and we have to move on but we have to learn.

“We have a lot of young players. They are learning and they are suffering at the moment but they are going to have to learn very quickly,” Hunt added.

While Hunt has felt hard done by match officials several times this season, the most recent incident was when the three-time league-winning side squandered a 2-0 lead to settle for a draw against Golden Arrows.

Hunt added that his side can have no complaints after being their own worst enemy.

“It was another tactical error that we should have done better on and they didn’t. Those are the types of things they need to learn from. You can’t complain about the weather. I can’t think about that now. I’m just trying to get over this and take it from there,” said Hunt.
