Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Kruger United have snapped up former Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Maluleka.

The club unveiled the former SuperSport United anchorman, who found himself in the wilderness for some time after he was released by AmaZulu at the end of last season.

“Kruger United Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of George Maluleka, the 35-year-old brings experience to the team having played for Kaizer Chiefs FC, SuperSport United FC and AmaZulu FC.

“The Kruger nation welcomes you to the family and wishes you well,” the club wrote in an announcement.

After about 15 years in the top flight, Maluleka returned to the National First Division where he made a couple of appearances with the University of Pretoria in the 2007/08 season.

In other movements in the second tier, Venda Football Club have parted ways with head coach Duncan Lechesa, who is said to have tendered his resignation with immediate effect.
