Cape Town Spurs have appointed Sean Connor as Technical Director.
Spurs have endured a woeful return to the South African top-flight with seven losses from their opening seven league games.
They most recently suffered a 3-1 defeat to rivals Cape Town City after taking an early lead for the second time in two games.
Head coach Shaun Bartlett publicly still has the backing of the club’s owners but the arrival of Connor may ultimately lead to a change of direction.
The 56-year-old Northern Irishman, who spent two months at Black Leopards in 2014, has previously coached the likes of Galway United, Dundalk, Bohemian and Sligo Rovers.

Spurs posted on social media: “Cape Town Spurs F.C. have appointed Sean Connor as the club’s technical director with immediate effect.
“Connor is a UEFA pro license coach with extensive experience in various roles in the industry.
“Connor will be tasked with all football operations at Ikamva and will ensure that the club’s football objectives are met.
“The board wishes Sean every success.”
