Amakhosi kicked off their 2022/23 DStv Premiership season with a narrow 1-0 away loss to Royal AM before seeing off Maritzburg United 3-0 at home.

But they head into their next game on the back of a 4-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns and currently sit in 12th place on the league standings while the Natal Rich Boyz occupy top spot.

The newly promoted team saw off Golden Arrows 2-0 and Sekhukhune United 1-0 while drawing 0-0 with Marumo Gallants.

Speaking ahead of the game, Dolly explained that consistency is key under new head coach Arthur Zwane.

He said on KickOff: “It is still early in the season and that was only our third game of the season. I think it is still a long way for us to go.

“We wouldn’t say coach Arthur is new because we have worked with him before and with some of us in the national teams.

“We know and understand what he needs from us, and you can see in patches of our games that we played well and understand each other but I think we just need to start being consistent and keep doing what we are good at.

“I think the more games we play the better we will get and hopefully we can turn things around again in the game against Richards Bay.

“We cannot keep on pondering about the past.

“The good thing about this season is that we have a good team. We are brothers.

“It is easy for us to talk about it and start focusing on the next game.

“It is a process, and we need to take each game as it comes.”
