Both Matsatsantsa and Amakhosi have been struggling for results since the turn of the year.

But while SuperSport are still in a respectable fifth place on the DStv Premiership standings, their opponents for this weekend have slipped down to 10th, with four losses from their last five games.

The two teams will clash at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday, where a win for Arubi’s team could lift them as high as third, depending on other results.

SuperSport though are without a win in nine previous league ties and will need a much-improved performance from the one that saw them lose 2-0 to Chippa United last time out.

“The preparations have been going well and the atmosphere in camp is good even though we have not been getting the results that we want we have been giving our all,” Arubi said.

“Sometimes in life, you have to create your own luck.

“We are positive that one day we will turn the corner and we’re looking forward to this game against Kaizer Chiefs because it’s a big game for both teams.

“We’re coming from losses, and both of us are wounded but the team that will put in more effort is the team that will win the game.”
