Orlando Pirates and Sekhukhune United clash at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday afternoon in the Nedbank Cup final.

The Sea Robbers come here aiming to win the cup for a ninth time, while Babina Noko have the potential to make history by winning a first major trophy in their debut final.

With many predictions tipping Pirates to lift the cup, Hollywoodbets’ brand ambassadors and legends of the game, Jerry Sikhosana and Brian Baloyi have also weighed in on the final showdown.

Brian who won this cup with Mamelodi Sundowns in 2008 when they beat FC Cape Town 2-0, said he feels that the Buccaneers are just too good and will be too strong for Brandon Truter’s side on Saturday.

“I think it’s going to be a great game, but as much as Sekhukhune have been playing very well, I think Pirates are on a roll and I believe they will take this one.

I think they’ve been doing very well and have the momentum right now and I believe it has come at the right time and I believe they’ll win this one by two goals – could be 3-1 or 4-1 but they win by a two-goal margin,” he said.

Jerry, who will always be remembered for his winning goal in 1995 African Champions Cup that earned the first and only star above Pirates’ badge, said his former club are clear favourites to be crowned champions.

“All I see is an in-form team in Orlando Pirates but also the debutants in the cup are Sekhukhune. They might pose a threat to Pirates but if I have to choose a winner after full-time on Saturday, I’d say Pirates are going to walk away with it.”

The Premier Soccer League confirmed on Thursday morning that the 51 762-capacity Loftus Versfeld Stadium had sold all available seats with the Ke Yona clash expected to be observed by a full audience.
