Former AmaZulu coach Benni McCarthy says the continued media reports of him being linked to the coaching position at both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates is mere speculation.

McCarthy was back in the country at Midrand over the weekend to attend the star-studded Heineken All-Invitation five-a-side exhibition and, when asked, said he was available for both local and overseas managerial offers but would not confirm to any offers by AmaKhosi or Bucs.

“The last time I checked, Arthur was in charge at Chiefs and doing a fantastic job,” McCarthy tells KickOff.com.

“I think that job is not vacant as it is being occupied by Arthur Zwane who is doing an incredible job.

“So well done to him, he deserves his opportunity, and I wish Arthur all the best for the remaining games in the season.

“Being linked to both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are just rumours. You shouldn’t take these rumours too seriously.

“It’s always nice and a privilege when your name is linked to these clubs because it lets you know you’re on the right track and doing something right, and that’s great.

“I will continue to do that wherever I am, continue to strive for success, and hopefully one day I will be at the perfect club with the perfect management that wants the same things as I do and share the same aspirations,” McCarthy added.
