With four games to spare for Galaxy to conclude their DStv Premiership campaign, Sead Ramovic is jubilant at how his side performed regardless of major changes to his squad as they currently occupy fifth spot in the standings.

Speaking after an enthralling 2-2 draw against Chiefs at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday, the 45-year-old shared his pride at the Rockets defying expectations.

“I think that we played a fantastic season until now,” said Ramovic.

“We sold seven key players before the season. I’m sure maybe 90% of you guys thought that we would be battling relegation.

“But I think that we surprised many. This speaks to our fantastic job, to my staff, to my players, and to everyone involved in our club because to reach the final (Carling Knockout), and to be in the top five still has a lot of opportunities that we can make our dream come true.

“I think we were very unlucky in the quarter-final that Nedbank. All in all, we improved a lot.

“This speaks to me, to my coaching staff, and we are both happy about it. We have to still keep going. We have four more games. We need the points and we will do our best,” Ramovic concluded.

TS Galaxy’s next match is against Cape Town City at Cape Town Stadium on Sunday.

Kick-off is at 15:00.
