The battle lines have been drawn between Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena and his TS Galaxy counterpart Sead Ramovic as they are ready to take their feud to court.
The two coaches have been at each other’s throats since the Carling Knockout last 16 match which saw Bernard Parker being stretched off the pitch with a broken leg after a horrible tackle by Sundowns’ Bongani Zungu.
The war of words took another twist when Mokwena alleged that Ramovic told his players to intentionally injure midfielder Zungu when the two sides met in April.
Before Tuesday’s DStv Premiership 1-1 draw which ended in chaos at Mbombela Stadium, a few media houses reported that Mokwena and Sundowns were served with a High Court summons by the Rockets and Ramovic.
Mokwena confirmed that the matter was now in court when speaking to the media after the game.
“I don’t want to talk about anything that has been taken to court. So, let’s meet in court,” said Mokwena.
Ramovic continued to have a go at his counterpart, labelling Mokwena as a liar.
“He is a liar. We are going to show everyone that he is a liar because he made up a story,” said Ramovic.
“My values are honesty.
“He lied about Parker, he lied about (Bafana Bafana coach Hugo) Broos, he lied about me, he threatened me and he called me and said a lot of bad things.
“And what I read, I’m not sure if this is right, he also manhandled a schoolboy. It shows what character he is.”
