NEWS: Richards Bay gunning for upset win against wounded Kaizer Chiefs – coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi

Head coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi shared that his Richards Bay side are prepared for a fiery encounter against Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday, with the Soweto giants aiming to redeem themselves after a disappointing defeat at Chippa United.

Head coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi shared that his Richards Bay side are prepared for a fiery encounter against Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday, with the Soweto giants aiming to redeem themselves after a disappointing defeat at Chippa United.

The relegation-threatened Natal Rich Boys host Chiefs in a DStv Premiership encounter at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Sunday.

The KwaZulu-Natal-based side come into the encounter on the back of a 1-0 victory over fellow Soweto outfit Moroka Swallows.

Vilakazi’s team sit 15th in the standings with just 17 points, and trail the Dube Birds by nine points, a place ahead in 14th position.

“It’s not going to be an easy one obviously, considering the fact that they are coming from a loss (Kaizer Chiefs).

“So they will try and lift their game and try to redeem themselves but it’s going to be a serious battle for both teams,” said Vilakazi.

“When you look at our situation right now, we don’t have a space for a draw or playing to lose a game.

“So, if we want to survive we have to dig deep and try by all means to get the three points against Kaizer Chiefs.

“And the boys are ready, they are fit and everyone is available it’s just a matter of selection as to who is going to be a person that is going to represent the club for us to get the three points that are needed,” he concluded.
