Parker was at the devastating end of a leg-breaking challenge by Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Bongani Zungu in a Carling Knockout tie in October last year. The former Kaizer Chiefs star missed about six months’ worth of action.

However, Ramovic is the bearer of positive news for The Rockets’ supporters as the 38-year-old is getting closer to setting foot on the turf before the season comes to an end.

“In terms of the injury, he is doing great now. The only thing is that he has to get in his head [is to trust] his body… and this will be a process. But he is training with us, he is doing all the exercises that all the players are doing,” said Ramovic.

"Maybe we can buy Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo and maybe I can show how much of a great coach I am"

“He is also training well and you can see that he is very close to being back on the field. He is a world-class player, he is absolutely top and I am sure that towards the end of the season, we can see him if he stays without injury,” Ramovic added.

While Parker continues his road to getting back to a level where is available for selection, Galaxy are in the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals this Saturday where they will take on Chippa United. Kick-off is scheduled for 15:00 at the Mbombela Stadium.

Ramovic has isolated Bienvenu Eva Nga as one of the biggest threats in Thabo September and Kwanele Kopo’s side.

The Orlando Pirates discard has been in South Africa since the 2019/20 season where he made his PSL debut at Bidvest Wits before heading Chippa United in his maiden spell.

In five seasons, the Cameroonian has netted 23 goals across all competitions, but nonetheless, Ramovic still sees great threat in the 31-year-old striker.

“They now have a fantastic striker in Eva Nga, who is fast and strong. Their team looks very fit and strong and it will be a very tough game for us,” said Ramovic.

“He added: “Our main goal is to win games because if we win games we will become one of the best teams in our league and probably we can get some sponsors and maybe we can buy Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo and maybe I can show how much of a great coach I am.”
