The Serie A graces us with a return this weekend after a short week’s break due to international commitments. Manager will be hoping all their players return unscathed, fully fit and ready to tackle gameweek 31. All eyes will be on Lazio and Roma’s encounter this weekend as the pair battle it out for bragging rights in the Derby della Capitale. There are just eight games to go, and it’s starting to look like a two horse race, with Juventus and Napoli showing no signs of faltering.

Saturday 2 April

Carpi 2/1 | Draw 21/10 | Sassuolo 29/20
We begin proceeding at the newly-promoted and relegation-threatened Carpi. The Biancorossi finally fought their way out of the bottom-three last time out, edging Hellas Verona 2-1 in their own backyard. The victory stretched their unbeaten run to six matches, including two wins on the bounce. Sassuolo are still clinging to the hope of European football, but all by the skin of their teeth. They have lacked consistency, and have struggled to get positive results away from home all season. Carpi have much more to play for at the moment, and are looking much stronger than their opponents at present. Get on the Carpi Win/Draw Double Chance at 5/10.

Juventus 1/4 | Draw 42/10 | Empoli 12/1
Saturday’s action ends in Turin, with log-leaders Juventus playing host to mid-table Empoli, looking to stretch their three-point gap over second-place Napoli. The Old Lady have been buzzing like no other since their shockingly poor start to their title defence. Juve are unbeaten in the league since October last year, a run of 20 matches, including 19 victories. Their opponents Empoli are without a win in their last 11 league games, and are highly unlikely to change that unfortunate and unimpressive run against the league champions. Juventus are back to their best, and are tipped on the Halftime/Fulltime Double at 15/20.

Sunday 3 April

Udinese 52/10 | Draw 34/10 | Napoli 5/10
Sunday kicks off at lunch-time with Napoli travelling to Udinese in which could be a tricky test for the title challengers. Napoli can’t afford to give Juventus too much breathing space at the summit of the table; the Azzurri need to keep the pressure on the Old Lady, and only a victory will suffice against Udinese. Luigi De Canio’s men are currently tip-toeing are the relegation-zone, and just like their opponents, they can’t afford to drop any points either, which makes for a very intriguing affair. Napoli have won the last two meetings between the sides, but Udinese are unbeaten in the last seven meetings on their turf against the Azzurri. However, Napoli are showing the kind of form that can end that run, but the 5/10 on offer is a bit too short to back them. Rather take Both Teams To Score at 17/20.

Atalanta 21/10 | Draw 21/10 | AC Milan 14/10
Next up will see AC Milan visit the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia to take on manager Edy Reja’s Atalanta. The hosts currently lie 14th on the table, just five points off the drop. Milan are winless in their last three matches but have a decent record against Atalanta, winning three times in their last four visits. Neither team have the type of form that gives me the confidence to back them, but Milan are hot on the heels of their city-rivals Inter Milan as well as Fiorentina, which will motivate them to claim all three points. The away team is tipped.

Chievo 12/10 | Draw 9/4 | Palermo 24/10
Chievo will be looking to take advantage of a vulnerable Palermo side who slipped into the relegation-zone following their goalless draw at Empoli before the international break. Chievo impressed last time out, edging Sampdoria 1-0 to climb into the top half of the table. Their opponents are without a win in their last nine matches and are winless against Chievo in the last six meetings, going down four times. And all four of those victories ended 1-0 to Chievo, whilst all six meetings saw Under 2.5 Goals produced. There are three tips here; but I will play it safe and take follow the Trend of Under 2.5 Goals at 7/10. For those that enjoy a straight bet, the home win is there for the taking at 12/10, whilst a very valuable Correct Score 1-0 victory in favour of Chievo can be found at 11/2.

Fiorentina 13/20 | Draw 3/1 | Sampdoria 42/10
A goalless stale mate at relegation-candidates Frosinone saw Fiorentina stretch their winless run to four matches last time out. Sampdoria on the other hand, fell to a disappointing 1-0 home defeat against Chievo. Their away record doesn’t read too well either, with just a measly two victories from 15 matches. Fiorentina are unbeaten against Sampdoria in the last nine matches on their ground and are tipped to build on that.

Genoa 11/20 | Draw 31/10 | Frosinone 5/1
Following a run of consecutive victories, Genoa were brought down to earth with a 3-1 defeat at Napoli. Genoa have been impressive in front of their faithful supporters of late, winning their last three games. Frosinone have managed just one win from 14 travels, scoring 11 goals and conceding 33 goals. The newcomers need to start picking up points if they are to have any chance of survival, while Genoa  need just two victories to guarantee a spot in the Serie A for another season. The home win should be backed.

Lazio 24/10 | Draw 23/10 | Roma 12/10
Lazio will host high-flying Roma, hoping to catch their city-rivals for a Champions League spot. Roma are undefeated in nine Serie A games, winning eight of those matches. Lazio know that it will be a difficult task to hold off Luciano Spaletti’s men, and will hope to avoid the 2-0 loss they suffered in the reverse fixture. Home advantage could be a key factor for Lazio, however, Roma are high in confidence and are showing no signs of slowing down. One thing is for sure, goals look a certainty here, and Both Teams To Score can be found at 8/10.

Inter Milan 8/10 | Draw 26/10 | Torino 7/2
We end off the weekend at the San Siro with Inter Milan doing battle against Torino. The Nerazzurri are fifth on the log, with three home wins on the spin. Torino come to town looking to put their 4-1 thrashing from city-rivals Juventus behind them. The Granata are without a win in their last five matches, including back-to-back losses. Inter have suffered just two defeat against their opponents in the last five meetings. They earned a well-deserved point at Roma last time out, and are tipped to claim maximum points here.

Monday 4 April

Bologna 9/10 | Draw 24/10 | Hellas Verona 31/10
Bologna will welcome bottom-dwellers Hellas Verona in a match that could put an end to the relegation-bound team’s miserable campaign. The Rossoblu have been disappointing in recent weeks themselves, and are without a win in their last six matches, including consecutive defeats. Hellas Verona are yet to win a game on the road, scoring only 10 goals and conceding 25 times. Maybe the international break came at the right time for both teams, but maybe it could have been a distraction. Back to business though, Bologna won the reverse tie 2-0, and have won four of the last five meetings at home against Hellas Verona. It won’t be a walk in the park, but the home team should come through and collect all three points here.
