There are some cracking matchups lined up in La Liga this weekend. Check our picks for round 13 kicking off on Friday the 24th of November.

Gameweek 13 of the Spanish La Liga gets underway this weekend with Barcelona comfortably at the top of the standings. Their opponents this weekend, Valencia, are their closest challengers with 30 points – four behind them. In third and fourth place, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid find themselves 10 points off the top after their goalless draw in the derby last weekend. Let’s see how round 13 will unfold.

Friday 24 November

Celta Vigo 9/10  | Draw 47/20 | Leganes 33/10 (22:00)

Celta Vigo and Leganes kick-start the round with both teams looking to bounce back from their disappointing form. Celta have lost three of their last four matches, while the visitors have suffered three defeats in a row. In their six home games, Celta have won two, drawn two and lost two, while Leganes have won three and lost three on the road. A pattern needs to be broken here and I’m expecting it to go in favour of the hosts. Back Celta to pick up maximum points at 9/10.

Saturday 25 November

Alaves 15/10 Draw 2/1 | Eibar 21/10 (14:00)

Alaves crumbled to their ninth defeat of the season, losing 4-1 to Getafe last weekend. The strugglers went 4-0 down and were saved by Christian Santos’ goal to ease off more embarrassment. Eibar were remarkable on Monday night, smashing Real Betis 5-0 at home. The Gunsmiths took full advantage of Betis’ sending off, ending their run of seven matches without a win. Alaves will be hoping to pick up their second win on the bounce at home, but personally, I don’t see it happening. Back these sides to split the spoils evenly at 2/1.

Real Madrid 1/12 | Draw 11/1 | Malaga 20/1 (17:15)

Real Madrid will be hoping to bounce back against relegation-threatened Malaga and prove that they’re still up for the fight. The champions have won one of their last three games, and to make matters worse, Cristiano Ronaldo has lost his scoring boots, netting once in just eight appearances this term. Malaga have found some form in recent weeks, winning two of their last three fixtures. To be fair, both victories came on home soil as the visitors still searching for their first goal away from home. Personally, I think this could be a turning point in Madrid’s season and I’ll be backing them to Win By Two Goals at 7/2!

Real Betis 1/1 | Draw 26/10 | Girona 51/20 (19:30)

Real Betis will be hoping to shake off that disappointing 5-0 defeat away to Eibar when they host Girona this Saturday. Despite a dip in form of late, Quique Setien’s men have been decent at home, winning four of their six matches, losing just once. Girona are unbeaten in four games heading into this fixture, winning three of those. The visitors are in better shape at the moment and I’ll be backing them on the Win/Draw Double Chance at 15/20.

Levante 57/10 Draw 26/10 | Atletico Madrid 11/20 (21:45)

Levante ended their run of six games without a win as they eased past Las Palmas, winning 2-0 away from home last weekend. They now face an uphill battle, hosting unbeaten Atletico Madrid. Diego Simeone’s charges haven’t been too convincing this season, but their knack of grinding out results has kept them in the top four. The hosts have won just two of their seven matches on home soil and things will not get any easier this weekend. Back Atletico to come out on top at 11/20!

Sunday 26 November

Deportivo 33/20 | Draw 9/4 | Athletic Bilbao 17/10 (13:00)

Deportivo and Athletic Bilbao lock horns on Sunday afternoon in what is expected to be a dull affair of football. They sit in 16th and 15th spot respectively, and show no desire to move further up the table. Depor suffered their second loss on the trot at Malaga, while Bilbao will be hoping to bounce back from their winless run of four matches. As expected, I’m backing the Under 2.5 Goals market at 13/20.

Real Sociedad 4/10 | Draw 39/10 | Las Palmas 57/10 (17:15)

Real Sociedad will be looking to make it three games unbeaten when they host bottom-placed Las Palmas this weekend. The visitors have suffered eight consecutive defeats in the league and have the worst defensive record in the division, conceding 30 times. Sociedad are four points behind the automatic Europa League spot, and it’s these sort of games that they need to win to get there. Get on the hosts at 4/10 and include in all multiples.

Villarreal 14/10 | Draw 47/20 | Sevilla 19/10 (19:30)

Villarreal do battle with Sevilla with both sides looking to break into the top four in La Liga. The visitors sit in fifth spot, just a single point ahead of Villarreal. The Yellow Submarine are unbeaten at home this season, while Sevilla have lost four of their six away outings. The hosts are also undefeated in six league matches. It ended goalless in this fixture last season, but this time around, Villarreal are tipped to better that result. Get on the home win at 14/10!

Valencia 26/10 | Draw 29/10 | Barcelona 9/10 (21:45)

It may be a late kick-off, but Valencia and Barcelona make this a ‘Super Sunday’ that cannot be missed. Both clubs head into this fixture unbeaten in the campaign and have been battering teams up for fun this season. Barca lead the way by four points, and will be hoping to make it five wins in a row. Valencia, on the other hand, have kept up the chase, claiming eight league wins on the spin. This is definitely the fixture to look forward to this weekend. My money will be placed firmly on a draw!

Monday 27 November

11/10 Espanyol | Draw 9/4 | Getafe 26/10 (22:00)

Espanyol will be hoping to end Getafe’s impressive run of late when they host Jose Bordalas’ men on Monday night. The travelling side are unbeaten in four La Liga matches, winning and drawing two apiece. Espanyol have lost back-to-back games in the league and it will take a solid performance to stop Getafe here. I’m expecting a tight and cagey affair, with Under 2.5 Goals tipped at 6/10.

Last week’s QUAD TIPPED @ 15/2
Getafe Win 15/20
Barcelona Win 3/10
Sevilla Win 15/20
Valencia Win 23/20

This week’s QUAD @ 22/1
Real Madrid Win By 2 Goals 7/2
Atletico Madrid Win 11/20
Real Sociedad Win 4/10
Villarreal Win 14/10
