Brown Advisory & Merriebelle Stable Plate Handicap Chase 2019 Preview
JANIKA has a touch of class that can stand the top weight in good stead for Nicky Henderson and Daryl Jacob.
The importance of match practice can be mirrored by the French-bred as he bids to display similar form to his good second to Siruh Du Lac in January.
The easy conditions are a boon for Janika and that’s why I prefer him to stablemate RIVER WYLDE who would have won but for a last fence fall at Haydock and hasn’t been seen since that hiccup in November. However, Henderson is adamant he has both in the form required to plunder this and finds it hard to split them.
SPIRITOFTHEGAMES is considered by Harry Skelton to be his best chance of a winner this week, boasts solid form here and cannot be safely ignored.
