Close Brothers Novices’ Handicap Chase Preview
Ireland have a very strong hand in this relatively new race to the Festival and two that stand out are RIDERS ONTHE STORM and QUAMINO.
Tom Taaffe looks to have given Riders Onthe Storm the perfect preparation and got him know this off a fighting weight. Furthermore there was much to like about the way he scored on only his third start of the campaign at Punchestown.
Quamino represents the shrewd Paul Nolan and is an impressive looker and jumper. He looked to be crying out for further when reeling in Dakota Moirette at Leopardstown.
A PLUS TARD is another Irish-trained runner boasting strong credentials with Rachael Blackmore donning the silks of Cheveley Park Stud on the consistent five-year-old.
