Winning Form Best Bets

Race 1: RAVE KING(10)
Race 3: OH SO MODUS(3)
Race 4: PIXELATE(4)
Race 6: CAPTAIN SWAROVSKI(7)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 1: GLANTO(4)
Jockey: Cheyne G – Trainer: Kotzen G S

GLANTO made huge improvement in a strong field over six furlongs second time out at Kenilworth and that formline could be worth following. He showed good pace before tiring late into third that day and that early toe will stand him in good stead on his track debut. The son of Antonius Pius is well drawn at gate 2 and has heaps of improvement to come.

Race 3: AREZZO(1) – TOP BET
Jockey: Fayd’Herbe B – Trainer: Snaith J S

The four-year old AREZZO is an ultra-consistent stayer who still has good improvement in him. He has been campaigning against much stronger since shedding his maiden tag on this track and stayed on strongly for a close 3rd behind a proven stayer over this trip, three weeks ago. The Go Deputy colt deservedly shoulders a big mass but drops heavily in class and should still take a power of beating.

Race 4: PIXELATE(4)
Jockey: Neisius K – Trainer: Humby S W

There are a few fast types in this field and they should ensure a solid gallop. PIXELATE has improved with each of her three career outings to date and she could enjoy the likely strong pace. The daughter of Jay Peg stayed on nicely for 3rd in a decent line-up over six furlongs in June and would have strengthened during her 13 week absence. The form of that last event has worked out well and the engaging of Karl Neisius suggests that her conditioner will have the chestnut filly fit and well. She has good scope for improvement and should overcome her draw, if the pace is hot.

VALUE BET FOR TODAY:

Race 6: SEIZE THE THRONE(3)
Jockey: Fayd’Herbe B – Trainer: Snaith J S

SEIZE THE THRONE was considered good enough to take to KZN for the winter season and he only just failed to record a smart victory against older rivals at handicap level, with a big mass. He was probably asked to do too much in a feature over twelve furlongs after returning to the Cape but would have benefitted from the break and still has plenty of improvement to come. His conditioner will have him fit and well and he can cause the upset.
