Magic Tips Best Bets

TOP BET

Race 3: OUTLANDOS D’AMOUR (4)

Jockey: G Cheyne – Trainer: A Greef

OUTLANDOS D’AMOUR is a speedy daughter of Captain Al from the Alan Greeff stable. She has found a new lease of life since relocating to PE with a win, a second and a third from as many outings. She takes on the males this afternoon, but looks to be a class above the rest of the field. It is encouraging that Greg Cheyne jumps back aboard her this afternoon and she should be tough to peg back in the closing stages.

Race 4: LUNA WISH (1)
Jockey: B Fayd’Herbe – Trainer: A Greef

LUNA WISH needed her last two runs after having a 15-week rest. She raced in the Racing Association Stakes last time and tired in the latter stages. The daughter of Querari is unbeaten in two starts over this distance and may keep that record intact this afternoon. She is having her peak run and gets services of top jockey Bernard Fayd’Herbe which is a big plus.

Race 7: BOLD VIKING (4)

Jockey: C Maujean – Trainer: T Laing

BOLD VIKING is in very good form. The manner in which he won his last start on the Polytrack was impressive. The manner in which he moved up in his penultimate start over this c&d was equally impressive before going down a head by the Cape visitor, Vikram. A repeat of that effort would see the son of Black Minnaloushe in the firing line.

Race 8: RACINE (7)

Jockey: G Cheyne – Trainer: A Greef

RACINE was impressive when winning in her local debut on the Polytrack, three weeks ago. She took the lead at the 200m mark and cruised to victory under today’s pilot, Greg Cheyne. She returns to the turf this afternoon and is having her second run after a rest. There should definitely be more to come from this daughter of Sail From Seattle.

VALUE BET
RACE 5: CRUISE CRUZ (3)
Jockey: R Munger – Trainer:  S Kotzen

CRUISE CRUZ ran a decent race last time despite having to contend with a wide draw. He raced from a handy position that day and stayed on well at the finish. It must be noted that the form of that run has been franked. The son of Bold Silvano takes a step back up in distance this afternoon which should suit him well as he has won once and finished third once from as many outings. Jockey Ryan Munger knows him well and he should be hard to beat.
