Race 3: TURN IT UP HARVEY (1)
Race 5: MICROBE (2)
Race 6: HECTOR HEATHCOTE (8)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 1: FOREST OF GREEN (5)

Jockey: Hewitson L – Trainer: Smith G

FOREST OF GREEN showed very good improvement in his last start over this C&D. He had to overcome the widest draw that day and ran on strongly in the latter stages. The son of Gimmethegreenlight jumps from a much better draw this afternoon and with Lyle Hewitson in the saddle, he should take a power of beating.

Race 3: TURN IT UP HARVE (1)

Jockey: Ndlovu X – Trainer: Bass-Robinson

TURN IT UP HARVEY ran a good race when finishing second over this C&D last time. He raced from a handy position that day and stayed on well at the finish. The son of Duke Of Marmalade does not meet the strongest line-up today and he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

TOP BET FOR TODAY

Race 6: BASILICA SANTO (5)

Jockey: Fortune S – Trainer: Paddock G

BASILICA SANTO ran a decent race over the minimum trip last time. The manner in which he finished off his race that day caught the eye. He finished third in his only attempt over this C&D. Shadlee Fortune steps back into the saddle and the combination may be tough to beat.

Race 8: BLOOM (5)

Jockey: Cheyne G – Trainer: Greeff A

BLOOM followed up her debut victory with a decent second-place finish over six furlongs on this course. She ran on powerfully at the finish that day and will enjoy the extra 100m on offer this afternoon. She meets a similar type of field and can get back to winning ways.

VALUE BET
Race 2: KATHERINE THE WO (7)
Jockey: Hewitson L – Trainer: Strydom J

KATHERINE THE WOW is the value bet on today’s card. The daughter of Where’s That Tiger showed good improvement in her local debut over this C&D. She reared at the start that day, but stayed on well at the business end. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. Lyle Hewitson takes the ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.
