Race 6
DIP DYE is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she had her consistency rewarded with her maiden win by just over a length last time out over five furlongs. She stayed on well that day and although drawn wideout in gate ten out of eleven, she could prove good enough to complete her double here. HIGHLY INFLUENTIAL followed up his penultimate run victory over six furlongs with a third-place finish over the same distance next time out, two lengths behind the winner. He was only outrun late in that contest and from draw seven, he could be the biggest danger to the top choice. ANCIENT AZTEC showed good improvement to finish fifth in his last outing over five furlongs, 1.7L behind the victor. The form of that race has been franked and he should be involved in the finish today.

Race 7
HOLY FREEZE won his last start over 1100M by just over a length after finishing second in his two prior outings over sprint distances. He hit the front at the 200M mark that day and then fought on well to hold off all challengers. He faces a wide draw 10, but he should be doing his best work late. CATMOSPHERE stayed on well when ending up in second place last time out over five furlongs, 0.8L behind the winner, suggesting that the extra ground on offer today will be to his liking. From draw seven, he should be right up there in the mix. MORENO won his penultimate outing over this c&d and then battled on all the way down to the wire when finishing second in his next start over the same c&d, 1.3L back from the victor. He is sure to put his pole position to good use.
Race 8
BRAD missed out on his hat-trick when finishing second in his last start over six furlongs, just under a length behind the winner. He had won his penultimate outing over this c&d by some two lengths and despite having to negotiate a wideish draw of seven, he is taken to be the best bet on the day’s card. Although PLATINUM TYCOON is recorded as finishing ninth in his last start over five furlongs, he was just over three lengths off the winner. He stayed on well that day and should enjoy going over the extra distance of today’s contest. He is drawn the widest of them all, but nevertheless, he is viewed as the immediate threat to the top choice. MR TINDALL was hanging over the closing stages when finishing second last time out over six furlongs, two lengths behind the winner. From his handy draw four, he should be involved in the finish.
Race 9
TRUMP ME is seldom far off the action and put three lengths between himself and the opposition when recording his third career win last time out over this c&d. He will have to overcome draw eight, but looks to be the value bet on the day’s program. CACTOBLASTIS steps up in distance after his two lengths last start victory over five furlongs. He is drawn one inside the top pick and should be suited to the extra ground. ZIPSPUR has shown steady improvement in his last three runs, the latest when third over 11100M, one and a half lengths behind the winner. He came from some way back that day and should appreciate the extra distance on offer today. He has gate four and should be included in all bets.

Race 5
VITAL TIMES is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she has made gradual improvement in her last three runs, the latest when finishing fourth over six furlongs, just over a length and a half behind the winner. She stayed on well that day and has her peak outing here after a 19-week rest. From draw four draw, she is sure to give the males a good run for their money. HOIST THE COLOURS has cracked pole position and finished fourth on debut over 1100M, 2.4L behind the victor, despite hanging over the closing stages of the contest. He would have learned from the experience and with the natural improvement that can be expected, he could emerge as the biggest danger to the top choice. YELVERTON finished ninth in his last outing over seven furlongs, just over four lengths back from the winner, but he was reported to be lame after that run and that effort is best ignored. He has drawn the widest of them all in gate twelve, but he possesses good early gate speed and should be able to move across without using up too much energy.
Race 6
A 5yr old mare and two 4yr old fillies could dominate the finish to this race and complete the trifecta, but the top pick goes to CAERHELAN who has pulled pole position and has shown steady improvement in her last three outings, culminating with a victory last time out over seven furlongs. She was friendless in the betting markets that day and was hanging over the latter stages, which makes the win that much more encouraging. PHANTOM’S STAR goes for her hat-trick after winning her last start over this c&d by half a length. She hit the front as she entered the straight and kept going well to hold off all challengers. She will have to overcome draw eight, but on the plus side, she will have 3kgs taken off her back thanks to her claiming apprentice. DEPUTANO showed marked improvement in her last outing over seven furlongs when ending up in third place, two lengths off the winner. She was only run out of it late that day and although drawn wide at gate ten, she should be included in all bets.
Race 7
ZIEBELL has not finished far behind in his last two runs, the latest when fifth over 1100M, 0.9L behind the winner when racing up with the pace and just being run down late. He gets a set of blinkers fitted for the first time today and did attract plenty of betting support that day, so he will be hoping to make amends here. SWEET DREAMIN’ returns from a 26-week rest and finished second in his only barrier trial to showcase his well-being. He is seldom far off the action and can be expected to turn in another honest performance here, jumping from gate three. BELLE OF LIBERTY is a 4yr old filly taking on mares and has her first run after a 26-week break, but she also finished second in her only barrier trial. She followed up her penultimate run victory over seven furlongs with a seventh-place finish next time out over six furlongs and was immediately rest after than effort. She is drawn one outside the latter and if returning to her better form, she should be right up there when they hit the line.

Race 8
As with race six, fillies could fight out the finish to this race and secure the trifecta, but the clear top selection goes to MAGICAL DREAM who finished strongly to win by a length on debut over five furlongs, suggesting that the step up in trip will be just what she is looking for. She returns from a 16-week absence but did finish third in her only barrier trial to prove her fitness. She will be further aided by jumping from pole position and is suggested as the best bet on the day’s card. PLAYING RED raced wide into the straight and then did not go on with her effort to finish fifth last time out over 1300, just under three lengths behind the winner. The drop in distance should be to his liking and her draw four will do her no harm. DIFFERENTIATOR showed big improvement in her penultimate start over 1100M when returning from a 19-week rest and then continued along that same path to be victorious in her following outing over five furlongs. She has her peak run today and will have 2kgs removed from her allocated weight courtesy of her claiming apprentice. From draw seven, she should be involved in the finish.
