SEA SPONGE’S last two runs on the Polytrack at Hollywoodbets Greyville have been very good. The son of Mambo In Seattle was running on well at the finish in his last start over a mile and will enjoy going back over the extra distance that is on offer this afternoon. His conditioner has decided to change his headgear from cheek pieces back to the blinkers. If continuing his good run of form, he should be the one that they all have to beat.
Race 5: WASHINGTON SQUARE (13)

WASHINGTON SQUARE was ultra-impressive when winning his last start over the minimum distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He showed plenty of speed that day and cruised clear to win by 5.5 lengths. He received the maximum penalty that day, but the manner in which he won suggests that there is definitely more to come from the son of Seventh Rock. Warren Kennedy does duty this afternoon and the pair merit healthy respect.

G G’S DYNASTY is having his peak run this afternoon and is in top form. He was his own worst enemy last time as he raced from a handy position, but shifted from the crop up the straight. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Dynasty is yet to be unplaced from three attempts over this c&d and merits healthy respect with Anton Marcus in the saddle.

This is an open contest and an upset is on the cards. BARINOIS ran a fair race over the mile on the Polytrack at Hollywoodbets Greyville, four weeks ago. The daughter of Ashaawes has been campaigning against slightly stronger opposition than she takes on today and it is encouraging that S’manga Khumalo takes the ride. She has won over this distance before and from her good draw of four, she could notch up her fourth career victory.
