ANNE BOLEYN is lightly raced and has decent form to her credit. She showed plenty of speed in her comeback run over this c&d last time and stayed on well at the finish. She has won once, finished second once and third once from four starts over this c&d. She takes a slight drop in class today and may be hard to peg back under Gavin Lerena.
Race 7: FROSTED STEEL (6)
Jockey: Hewitson L – Trainer: Tarry S
FROSTED STEEL is one of the better bets on today’s card. She ran a very good race when finishing 0.75 lengths behind GALLIC PRINCESS in her last start. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Lyle Hewitson takes the ride on her return and she may be the one to beat if fit and well.

BENJI’S last start can be ignored as he didn’t get off to the best of starts and was reported to be not striding out. He returns from a 15-week break this afternoon, which may have done him the world of good. He likes racing on this course as he has won once, finished second once and third once from as many starts. His conditioner is no stranger to getting his horses fit for their return and he may be hard to peg back.
Race 9: CAPTAIN HINDSIGHT (4)
Jockey: Khumalo S – Trainer: Fortune A
CAPTAIN HINDSIGHT has produced two good runs since winning his maiden race over this c&d. He challenged strongly all the way to the line in his last start over this distance, but went down by just a long head. S’manga Khumalo does duty this afternoon and the combination have a good chance of finding their way to the winner’s enclosure.

GLOWTORIA is the value bet on this afternoon’s card. She produced a decent comeback over the minimum trip on this course. She lost a length at the start that day, but the manner in which she stayed on at the business end was encouraging. She should strip much fitter this afternoon and with Gavin Lerena in the saddle, she should be the one to side with here.
