Race 1
A tricky race to start the day’s program and four fillies could dominate the finish and complete the quartet. The narrow top pick goes to NAYTELLRHI BIRD who finished firth on debut over five furlongs, despite being reported to be lame. She has a wide draw of thirteen to negotiate, but she should be right up there when they hit the line. CAT TWO makes her debut after putting in a solid barrier trial. She starts from gate six and any betting support for her should be respected. BEATING DRUM returns from a 20 week break and has not had the benefit of a barrier trial, so her fitness will have to be taken on trust. She has a handy three draw and could have improved during her rest. COININ has shown gradual improvement in her last two outings and could threaten the top three selections.

Race 2
TIGERPOWER has improved in his last two runs and finished third last time out over this c&d, just 1.2L behind the winner. He has a wide draw of ten, but if he has continued down that same path, he looks to be the one to side with here. VERVE showed marked improvement in his last run when second, a head behind the victor over 1300M. If he can confirm that effort, he could challenge the former. MONTE SANTO stayed on well in his last outing over 1100M and is sure to enjoy going the extra distance today. STRIP IT DOWN is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys. She makes her debut here after having had three barrier trials and will jump from a handy three gate. Any betting support for her should be taken seriously.

Race 3
As with the opening event, fillies could fight out the finish here and this time secure the trifecta. DRAGON MISS has consistent formlines to her credit and battled on gamely when third last time out over six furlongs. She has a wide draw to overcome, but she looks to be the value in the race. ELECTRIC DRAGON returns from a 13 week rest, but did win her barrier trial to prove her fitness. She had finished second in her last two outings over this trip before the break and could be the biggest danger to the top choice. LADY BLACKWOOD returns from an even longer 28 weeks away from the track. She has not barrier trialed, but if not too much in need of the run, she could be involved in the finish. COYNES ROAD has only had the two starts, but she raced up with the pace last time out and should put her pole position to good use.

Race 4
Three 3yr old fillies could see off their male rivals in this contest and, as with the previous race, secure the trifecta here. SERRATALLI has only had the two starts, but finished fourth last time out over five furlongs and could appreciate the extra ground on offer here. Her handy two draw is a plus. ROOTS’N’ROCKS is seldom far off the action and although facing draw nine, she should put in another honest showing today. MINAJ A STAR gave away start in her last run before finishing fifth, four lengths behind the winner. If getting away on terms here, she should be respected in this line-up. STRAPPED has his first run here, but has had all of nine barrier trials, winning the latest. Any betting support for him should be respected.

Race 5
GRATSIE has shown good improvement in his last two runs, the latest when finishing third over 1700M, one length adrift of the winner. The extra ground should be to his liking. THE MINIVAN stayed on when finishing sixth in his last outing over nine furlongs and is another who should enjoy going over the extra trip. FRASCATI MISS is a 5yr old mare taking on males, but she was second in her last start over 1700M and should give the boys a good run for their money. RED MONKEY drops in distance from the eleven furlongs of his last outing, but this should not present an issue and he should be included in all bets.

Race 6
HEART VANDELAY has posted consistent formlines to his name and was only beat under a length last time out over seven furlongs. He starts from gate eight, but should be right up there in the mix. If HEEBEE RIGHT MATE is able to repeat his penultimate effort when second over a mile, only a head behind the victor, he should pose a big threat to the former. GENOA stayed on well when finishing under two lengths off the winner last time out over a mile, suggesting that the extra distance will be to his liking. STORMY GREY showed solid improvement last time out over 1500M and is sure to appreciate the extra trip today.

Race 7
PHANTOM FALCON has his first start in Australia, but did win his last outing over six furlongs on the synthetic track in Honk Kong. He returns from a lengthy 65 week break, but he won his only barrier trial and should have no problem with the grass surface based on that showing. KING OF THE DESERT was making good late progress when three lengths behind the winner last time out over the six furlongs. WAIT A MINUTE was beaten a head last time out over this distance and will get 2kgs removed from his allocated weigh courtesy of his claiming apprentice. MISS MAKEPEACE is a 4yr old filly taking on boys, but she has put in two solid last efforts, the latest over six furlongs and despite having draw ten to deal with, she should be considered in this field.

Race 8
This looks to be a tricky race and some caution is advised. IRONBORN is seldom too far back and although finishing seventh last time out over five furlongs, he was just 3.6L back. He has draw ten to overcome, but should be involved in the finish here. YOUR OPTION is a 6yr old mare taking on males, but she showed good improvement in her last outing over five furlongs and from draw six, she could trouble the former. FLYING FROG will have his cause aided by having 3kgs taken off his back for the services of his claiming apprentice. IMABARMAN was staying on when finishing ninth, 4.3L behind the winner last time out over five furlongs and on that showing, he should enjoy going over the extra distance.

Race 9
ACCEPTILE showed marked improvement last time out when second over five furlongs. He was beaten in the shadow of the post that day and looks ready to go one better today, starting from draw two. KENNEDY TERRACE ran on best to win his latest outing over 1100M. He has gate eight and should be picking off the frontrunner in the dash down to the wire. ANKARA FOX disappointed last time out and was immediately rest for 25 weeks. He returns without a barrier trial, but if bouncing back to his best, he should be a serious threat to the top two selections. AURORA CHARM found no extra in the closing stages of his last outing over six furlongs and should appreciate the drop in trip today.

Race 10
STARCASTER was making good late progress when finishing sixth last time out over six furlongs. He was just over three lengths behind the winner that day and jumping from pole position, he should be right up there in the firing line. ABB ROY is a 6yr old mare taking on the boys. She drops down from 1500M of her last outing, but this should not be an issue as she finished 2.2L behind the winner three runs back over this distance. THE HOOLIGAN won his last run over 1100M despite being bumped and will be hoping to complete his double today. WEARETENFORTYEIGHT is a 4yr old filly who won her last outing over this distance by just under half a length and although draw wide at gate twelve, she should be included in all bets.
