RACE 1

BLACK QUAIL from the Mark Walker stable ran on well over 1000m to finish 2nd on 3rd of January 2021. The son of Coats Choice goes over the extra 100m today and should be right there.  The 9 year old bay gelding RED CLAW is showing good recent form and must be respected here.  WELL DESERVED from the Peters yard is drawn wide here but gets the blinkers back on. He is better suited to the polytrack but he will be given every chance.

RACE 2

HAPPY FRIDAY’S next win looks on the horizon. He ran a cracker over 1000m earlier this month. The chestnut gelding goes over the extra furlong and warrants respect. SPEARHEAD from the Ong yard is knocking on the door. He raced handier last start and stayed on nicely for third. If he brings that form here, a place on the podium is on the cards. NEW GARDEN recent efforts have been encouraging. Improver who can strike a blow here.

RACE 3

KHARISMA from the Stephen Gray yard has impressive recent form. The son of Mossman has three course and distance wins to his name and is reunited with Marc Lerner. BRIGHT ALMIGHTY is returning after a lengthy break and has trialled nicely for this race. An each-way hope and one to follow going forward. BASILISK conditions suit this six-year-old bay gelding and the booking of Ruan Maia is a massive plus. Big run expected here.

RACE 4

INFINITE WISDOM ran on well to finish second last time out in the Group 3 Singapore Golden Horseshoe despite an interrupted prep. And if putting his best foot forward he can find himself in the winner’s enclosure. STARLIGHT won impressively on debut when fancied. The 3-year old son of Headwater switches to Polytrack should not pose any problem and can follow up here from a good barrier draw. BE YOU looked home at his comeback from four-month spell, but was nabbed on the line. He will strip fitter and must be respected.

RACE 5

GIANT KILLING represents decent each-way value for Singapore racing pundits. He has finished third in his last two outings and warrants respect.  NAJAH won well over this course and distance at his last start. The 7-year old chestnut gelding looks well in on weights and will be thereabouts. WHERE SHE’S HAPPY ran on well to finish second over this distance last time. And the 4-year old mare looks overdue for that maiden win.

RACE 6

DAVID’S STAR returns from a 56 day break and will be freshened up. The booking of Ruan Maia is a solid guide as to stable confidence and with a decent draw he must be included. DECRETO is seldom far off since his win back in September and his is a must have for your exotic bets. MARINE VANGUARD has been rested and may find this a touch sharp, but if they roll along upfront, he can spring an upset.

RACE 7

SOLAR ECLIPSE is resuming after a five month break. He is up in class here but looks very progressive and is nicely weighted now in Class 3 company. SIAM WARRIOR is still the only horse to have beaten the mighty Inferno and is only one point higher than that win here. The booking of Vlad Duric is key, as he has never been beaten on this James Peters-trained runner. WASSERGEIST from the Shane Donald Baertschiger yard caught the eye in a recent trial and can prove to be the value play in the race.

RACE 8

ASAAD from the Meagher stable gets the booking of Ruan Maia and is the form horse in the race on recent efforts. LADY FAST has been impressive in recent runs and is holding her form well currently and is one for the exotics. CAPTAIN SINGAPORE returns from a break. The 5-year old bay gelding ran a fair third last time out and wouldn’t surprise to see another nice run here.

RACE 9

MR MALEK is a very classy sort who has not been seen for 83 days. He has a super record fresh and has trialled extremely well for this return. The 3kg claim should help matters too. He looks the one to beat here. SUPER DYNASTY is the stablemate of the top selection and is nicely handicapped on his Group 3 Colonial Chief Stakes success in December. He has won two over this course and distance and should go very close. CHURCHILL is a useful sort and had a good comeback run in a feature last time out. He is also well handicapped here.

RACE 10

HEADHUNTER comes into the race with impressive recent runs. The 5-year old bay gelding from the Peters yard must be included in all exotic bets. FLAK JACKET from the Shane Donald Baertschiger stable returns from a 49 days break. He will be freshened up and once again, he has a solid chance here. LIM’S BESTBREAKER In-form and still very progressive. He has a nice light weight here.
