This Valentine’s Day a nine-race programme is carded for Kranji Racecourse. The best bet comes in Race 4 with QIJI DIAMOND and Vlad Duric aboard and the value bet comes in race 2 with KHARISMA and John Powell.

RACE 1
OVERCOMING is the selection in the first race of the afternoon, he comes into the race with good form and with Michael Rodd up he should be able to get the job done. PIONEER SEVEN hasn’t been far off lately and should give the top selection something to think about. The minor money positions are quite opened with a few having claims.
RACE 2
KHARISMA was impressive in his debut when making up many lengths to finish not far behind the winner John Powell rides and a repeat of that run will see him very competitive in this line-up. SPEED RACER improved last time to finish in third and if he confirms that improvement, he should be competitive. For the minor money, CAPONE must be considered as he was crowded on jumping in his latest.
RACE 3
ST ALWYN has been ultra-consistent late finishing in the money in his last 3 occasions. South African jockey JP van der Merwe rides and he should be able to break the maiden here. BRIGHT ALMIGHTY overraced and had to be checked in his last start, barring any interferences today, he should be competitive.
RACE 4
QIJI DIAMOND looks to be the best bet on the card, with Champion jockey Vlad Duric in the saddle. He is a speedy sort and should be able to break his maiden in this contest. Behind the top selection, the race for second looks to be opened with FOUNTAIN OF FAME, LOVING BABE and BITCOIN DIAMOND all in with a shout.
RACE 5
MAJULAH won impressively from a wide draw last time, if he manages to repeat his last run, he should be able to get the better of his opponents in this contest. DEE MAK MAK is the ride of Vlad Duric, he improved nicely last time and with Duric retaining he must be respected. Other than the top two the other lurker in the pack come in the form of WITHOUT PREJUDICE.
RACE 6
SUN KING was impressive when running on from way back on debut over the seven furlongs, he steps up to the mile today and based on that last run, he must have a huge say. AXEL brings experience into the race and should be the biggest threat to the top selection. WIND OF LIBERTY is another that has good form and must be respected.
RACE 7
CODIGOS was impressive in his last three starts over 1700m, he steps down to the mile today and he should be the one that they all have to beat. HUNTSMAN’S rider had to stop riding in the closing stages last time as he was laying inwards, but he still managed to stay on for fourth, If he repeats that run he will be there.
RACE 8
BURKAAN has endured good food form over this trip and will be hard to peg back in this contest. He, however, returns from a long layoff, so the betting market will need to be watched closely. If TARO SAN repeats his penultimate, he will be competitive.
RACE 9
MIG PIERRO is in a good run of form and will be hard to beat in this the last race of the event of the afternoon. He jumped inwards last time and was reported to have lost his rear hind plate and that may of cost him. LIMITED EDITION is a consistent sort and should be troubling the top selection in the run down to the line.
