Race 1 – PRIX DE SAINT-MARTIAL
The opening event on today’s card is for unraced three-year olds over 2100m. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to their chances. STAMINA is a daughter of Oasis Dream from the Christophe Ferland stable. Maxime Guyon is the retained rider for the owner and if not too green this afternoon, she may be the one they all have to beat. MOISSON DU CIEL is a daughter of Toronado from the Jean-Claude Rouget yard. She cost her owners € 90,000. She gets the services of Jean-Bernard Eyquem and may be the one to throw out the biggest challenge to the top choice. KENADARA could be the first male past the finishing post. He is a son of Kendargent from the Antoine De Watrigant stable with Julien Auge in the irons. He jumps from a mid-field barrier position and must be included in all bets.
Race 2 – CRITERIUM DES 3 ANS [ARABIAN]
FIRA is the best bet on this afternoon’s card. She was an impressive winner on debut putting over six lengths between herself and the second-place finisher. The daughter of Diamond Green would have gained from the experience and should have more to come. Alexandre Gavilan who was aboard her on debut retains the ride and the combination should keep their unbeaten record intact this afternoon. QUEEN MARGEUX finished seven lengths behind the top selection on debut. She may have to settle for the same result today, but she would have come on from that outing and will the natural improvement that is expected, she should finish closer. LOULOU DE VERGNE comes out of the same form line referred to above. She was well beaten into sixth position that day. She would have gained from the experience and can improve to finish a lot closer to her conqueror this afternoon. Thomas Messina retains the ride and the pair can run into the minor money here.

Race 3 – PRIX TRIAXE
IPPLING produced a promising debut effort over a mile at Mont-De-Marsan. He has been given a three-month break since that outing, during which time he would have strengthened up. The drop in distance should not pose an issue and with the natural improvement that is expected, he may be the one they all have to beat. BROUILLARD is an unraced son of Dark Angel from the Christophe Ferland stable and once again Maxime Guyon is in the saddle. If not too green this afternoon, he may be the one to throw out the biggest challenge to the top choice. The betting market will need to be closely followed with regards to his chances. ARROW CHOP made the necessary improvement when finishing second, under a length behind the winner over this distance at Toulouse last time. He should come into this race fit and well and must be included in all bets.

Race 4 – PRIX DU HARAS D’AYGUEMORTE – VERTIGINEUX
FREECHOPE produced an eye-catching debut effort when finishing second, just a short-head behind the winner over 1500m on the all-weather surface at Deauville. She would have gained from the experience and should make the natural improvement today. Maxime Guyon does duty for the Jane Soubagne yard and from a good barrier position, the daughter of Kheleyf should take a power of beating. LE GRENADE produced a promising debut effort over ten furlongs on the all-weather surface at Pau. She returns from a three-month break this afternoon, during which time she would have strengthened up. The drop in trip is a slight concern, but if fit and well, should be one of the leading contenders for the placings. RUN LIKE HELL is the stable companion of the top selection. She produced a good debut effort over the minimum trip at Chantilly. The manner in which she finished off the race that day suggests that she will enjoy the extra distance on offer this afternoon. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should be right there in the run down to the finishing post.

Race 5 – PRIX DJERBA OUA [ARABIAN]
This is a weak Special Conditions Plate and caution is advised. The narrow first selection is MOUNTASIR. He produced a promising debut effort when finishing fourth over this distance at Toulouse. The son of Tabarak would have come on from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, should be the one they all have to beat. It is encouraging that Olivier Peslier who rode him on debut, sticks with the ride this afternoon. BARADA AL CHAM was a tad disappointing in his last start after producing a promising debut effort over this distance under today’s jockey Julien Aude. If fit and well, he should be the one to throw out the biggest challenge to the top selection. MALEHA is a filly taking on the males. She made the expected natural improvement to finish second over this distance at Toulouse last time. There looks to be more progression to come from the daughter of Munjiz and she should be involved in the fight out to the finish.

Race 6 – PRIX NELCIUS
OFTENWORK is lightly raced having had just the four starts to date. He ran a very good race when finishing second over this distance at Bordeaux last time. He would have been given the time to strengthen up in his two months off the track and should have more to come. 1.5kg claiming apprentice Lily Le Pemp knows him well and the combination should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure. PROJECT FEAR was a tad disappointing in his last start after winning well on debut. He has his first start on the turf this afternoon and if suited to the surface, may be the one to pick up the pieces should the top selection fluff his lines. It is encouraging that Julien Auge who rode his last time, sticks with the ride today. SERKIYNA is a filly taking on the males. She was an impressive maiden winner of her last start over a mile on the all-weather surface at Cagnes-Sur-Mer. She does take a step up in class this afternoon, but she is lightly raced and looks progressive. With a bit of luck from her wide draw, she should have a say in the run down to the wire.

Race 7 – PRIX DE LA VILLE DE GUJAN-MESTRAS
The value bet on today’s card is BLACK COMEDY from the Christophe Ferland stable. He didn’t have much go his way last time as he raced wide the whole way around the bend and never got into the race. He has a much better draw this afternoon and should strip a much fitter horse. On best form shown, he may be the one to cause the upset. ROMANOVKHA just won his maiden over 1850m last time. He does take on stronger company this afternoon, but he is lightly raced and looks to have scope. With a bit of luck in running, he may be the one to throw out the biggest challenge to the top selection. BENESSE is a filly taking on the boys. She won her maiden by half a length over ten furlongs last time. She does take a rise in class today, but the manner in which she won suggests there is more to come. The daughter of Zoffany should come into this race fit and well and must be included in all bets.

Race 8 – PRIX AICHA – WATHBA STALLIONS CUP [ARABIAN]
JOUD AL CHAM was an impressive winner on debut over 2100m at Toulouse. He returns from a six-month break this afternoon, during which time he would have strengthened up. The manner in which he won suggests that there is more to come and he should keep his unbeaten record intact. Julien Auge retains the ride which is encouraging. NO AND NO AL MAURY is a maiden taking on winners, but he has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. It must be noted that he finished third in his only attempt on this course. Should the top selection fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces. KING MONLAU has not finished too far off the winner in his last two starts. He returns from a seven-month break this afternoon and if not in need of the run, should be involved in the fight out to the finishing post. Jean-Bernard Eyquem who rode him in his last two starts keeps the ride.

Race 9 – PRIX JACQUES DESCUDET
FLAMING HEART is a maiden taking on winners, but she has not finished too far off the winner in her last three starts. She has finished second three times from six attempts over this distance. If not in need of this outing, she may be the one they all have to get past. MINIKING got back to winning ways in his last start over 1100m. He has a good record on the turf surface having won six times, finishing second three times and third once from 31 outings. 2.5kg claiming apprentice Hugo Lebouc who won on him last time keeps the ride. He should come into this race fit and well and may be the one to throw out the biggest challenge to the top selection. ENCANTADOR was in need of her last start over a mile at Toulouse. She has finished third twice from four attempts over this distance. She should strip a much fitter horse this afternoon and from her good draw of three, has a decent chance of running into the money.

Race 10 – PRIX DE LA COBAN
This is a weak Class 4 Handicap to close off the meeting and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is RUSTER who is an eleven-year old gelding. He has finished third in his last three starts. His record over this distance is decent having won three times, finishing second four times and third on seven occasions from 38 attempts. If continuing his good run of form, he may be the one they all have to beat. LATE COMER has decent recent form to his credit. He is a versatile sort that likes to race on both the all-weather surface and the turf. With a bit of luck from his wide barrier position, he should be right there in the run down to the wire. MYTHICAL CREATURE is a mare taking on the males. She showed some signs of a form return in her last start over a mile at Pau. She has been given a four-month break since that outing, which may have been what she needed. She gets the services of Olivier Peslier which is encouraging and if fit and well, should be involved in the fight to the finish.
