Race 1 – 06:13 – 1600m
SILENT ACT has only had the 5 starts so far and has plenty of scope for improvement. She sat behind the leaders and fought hard over the final stages for the third last time out and looks a genuine threat here. GRANRANDELL seems to be going in the right direction and he held his position strongly to the line last time out but was never a serious threat. With scope for more, he must be included here.
Race 2 – 06:48 – 1108m
MONG KHON showed useful improvement last time out when trialling well over the 1000m. He looks set for promising debut and the son of Scintillo should be the one to beat. RUN D’AFFAIRE RUN didn’t show much in that debut effort, but on his previous trial form, he must still be considered. VERDIGRAS gave a useful account of himself last time out and should have the scope for more. He has only had the 2 starts so far and still has plenty of scope for improvement. He found a bit of traffic last time out and if managing a smooth passage this time, should be involved in the finish.
Race 3 – 07:23 – 1108m
WHIM CREEK was impressive on debut when finishing just 0.30 lengths off the winner. With the expected improvement to come, he looks a huge contender here. MIAMI MOON showed enough on debut to have a say here. The daughter of Patronize has followed that up with a few decent trials and with scope for more she could be a major threat.
Race 4 – 08:00 – 2019m
The top pick, DOC FRIAR, ran on strongly in an eye-catching effort last time out. That was when following a solid win in his penultimate start. He has a smart turn of foot that can’t be ignored in this line-up and should be very tough to beat. ADMIRAL PROMO should enjoy the extra ground on offer here and if finding a bit of luck in running he could make a big impression. I’M A LOVE MAN has 92 starts under the belt and he will be looking for a quicker tempo this time out. With a bit of luck in running, he will be involved in the finish at decent odds.
Race 5 – 08:40 – 1690m
OUR GIRL MARLI made steady headway last time out and despite only managing the one victory from her 30 career starts so far, she has found conditions to suit here. She should relish the extra ground and must be worth following. VENA SCHNITZEL is drawn in the cheap seats but on prior form, she should enjoy this step up in trip. If she has the gate speed to overcome the draw, she could finish prominently on her prior form. FLYING TARGET and QUEST TO VENUS will be looking to make some headway in this class and on their best recent form they should make their presence felt.
Race 6 – 09:20 – 1410m
BOOTLEG RASCAL is just getting going his career and the son of Sebring notched up his 3rd career win last time out when he chased the leaders to land the victory. He should have enough to get the better of this opposition and must be considered. CHENERY RED is another one of the leading contenders here. She finds a much-improved draw this time and this step up in trip should suit.
Race 7 – 09:55 – 1208m
BEE QUICK has been touched off in her last few starts and the consistent daughter of Smug looks set to finally deliver the goods this time out. Despite the wide draw, she has the gate speed and distance record to get the better of this field. HE’S A GUNSLINGER enjoyed the drop in trip last time out and he looks progressive enough to make a major impression here. He is yet to be unplaced over this course and distance and on best form, he must be a major player here. FA’LIAM MASCHINE also appeared to enjoy the drop in trip last time out and she loves this course and distance. With fitness on her side, she must be included.
Race 8 – 10:30 – 1208m
AMILLIONITE returns after a 7-month absence but she shouldn’t be too in need of the run if her recent trials are anything to go on. Despite the fact that this trip may be short of her best, she looks worth including on her form over a mile. LONDON MISS is only getting going in her career and she has shown enough to be competitive at this level. The daughter of City Place has a good enough finish to overcome that wide draw and with a bit of luck in running, she should be a leading contender here. ANGELIQUE’S FAME is another filly with a wide draw to overcome, however, she too has a useful turn of foot to go into contention at the business end. Having finished 2nd in her only attempt over this trip, she must be included.
Race 9 – 11:05 – 1108m
MISS MERIT has found some useful form of late and she should be able to find a much-improved early position this time out. She has shown good turn of foot in both of her last two starts and deserves plenty of respect here. BOYISH is yet to win over this trip, but he does appear to be knocking on the door for the winner’s enclosure. The son of Hinchinbrook faces some tougher opposition after a determined finish last time out but he deserves plenty of respect here.
