Race 1
KWAHADI was staying on well in his last start over 1500M and could appreciate the greater test of stamina today. HE’S ALL WHITE returns from a 20-week rest but has had the benefit of a barrier trial. He steps up in trip from his last outing over nine furlongs but has cracked pole position to aid his cause. PORT BERRY is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys. She goes the extra here after finishing well last time out over a mile suggesting that the step up in journey will be to her liking. SHORT ‘N’ REGAL is a 4yr old filly who is also stepping up in trip, but she will get 2kgs taken off her back thanks to her claiming apprentice.

Race 2
SACRED TYCOON has only had the two runs to date, but he showed marked improvement second time out over six furlongs on the synthetic track. He has drawn pole position and if he can reproduce that form here, he could be the one to side with today. HILLCREST MOSES finished fourth on debut over 1100M, 2.5L behind the winner. He has a wide draw of thirteen, but he would have come on with the run under his belt and could threaten the top choice. JANA is a 3yr old filly taking on males and returns from a 20-week rest. She drops in trip from 1500M, but may do better as a result. LORD HARRY has his first outing since a lengthy 57-week break and takes a sharp drop in distance. He has not had a barrier trial, but the fact that his connections have persevered with him suggest that they believe that he has still got something to offer.

Race 3
GALACTUS is seldom too far off the action and although he finished ninth last time out over the six furlongs, he was just 2.7L behind the winner. He should be viewed as a big runner here. ST ROSE is a 3yr old filly taking on boys, but she has shown gradual improvement in her last two runs and if she has continued along that same path, she could prove a danger to the former. SETLIN SAGE is also a 3yr old filly who showed good improvement last time out over 1100M. From her mid-field draw, she should be considered in this line-up. TAI SHAN has pole position and was staying on in his latest outing over five furlongs. He should appreciate going the extra distance today.

Race 4
RIVAROLA won his last outing over 1500M by a half-length, but he was going away from the opposition that day and could relish the extra distance on offer today. MELARITA is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she put 4.3L between herself and the balance of the field when winning her maiden race last time out over 1500M. She takes on stronger here and has a wide draw to overcome, but she should be involved in the finish. REWARDING RUBY is also a 4yr old filly who followed up her win over 1500M in her penultimate start with a solid effort next time out over the same trip. QUEEN GUINEVERE is yet another 4yr old filly. She showed marked improvement last time out over seven furlongs and jumping from her handy four draw, she should be respected here.

Race 5
Three fillies/mares could dominate the finish of this race and complete the trifecta in what appears to be a tricky contest. The narrow first pick goes to WALK FREE who steps up in distance after a fourth-place finish last time out over six furlongs. He starts from gate eight and should be right up there when they hit the line. TIVOLI LASS is drawn one outside the former and steps up in trip, but she was staying on last time out over 1300M and should put in an honest performance today. ONEIRA’S last run should be overlooked as that was in heavy going. She is likely to show good improvement here in better underfoot conditions. CLASSIC FASTNET has his first run since a 18-week break and has not had a barrier trial. He did win his penultimate start over 1500M and from his handy four draw, he should be included in all bets.

Race 6
TAX EVADER finished well to win his last start over seven furlongs in the shadow of the post and will be looking to complete the double today despite having to deal with draw nine. LORD MAPPERLEY has his peak run here and steps up in distance from two outings over six furlongs. He could be the immediate threat to the former. PORT TRIANO won his penultimate outing over seven furlongs and then stayed on well in his next start over 1300M. He should enjoy going over the extra distance. GRAND DE FLORA is a 3yr old filly taking on males and has her first run in Australia. She also returns from an 11-week break and has not had a barrier trial, but any betting support for her should be taken seriously.

Race 7
This looks a trick event as the three main contenders all have to negotiate wide draws, which won’t make things easy for them. The tentative top choice is PLAY MASTER who stayed on last time out over five furlongs and could enjoy going the six furlongs today, despite being drawn out at fourteen. YASEY SUN jumps from one inside the former and was only beaten a short-head last time out over six furlongs and should make his presence felt here. BEGUILEMENT is a 3yr old filly taking on males, but she won her maiden race last time out over this distance and is sure to give the boys a good run for their money. GUNN ISLAND was disappointing last time out over six furlongs, but did win over the same trip three runs back. A repeat of that effort should give him some sort of chance in this field.

Race 8
YOUL THRASHEM returns from a 16-week rest with no barrier trial. She did finish fourth last time out over 1100M when making late progress. From gate three, she should be right up there in the dash down to the wire. PUNK PRINCESS won her maiden race last time out over 1100M and although taking on stronger and having draw twelve to deal with, she should be considered a runner here. FORTUNATE LADY has her peak run today and has shown steady improvement in her last two starts. SO BE VENUS was running on last time out over six furlongs and should have no issue with dropping down to 1100M. Her five draw will do her no harm.

Race 9
EL SICARIO has consistent formlines to his credit and although having a widest draw of ten to handle, he should put in another honest performance here. SALLY SELLS SHELLS is a 5yr old mare taking on the boys and has her first start after a 16-week rest. She has not had the benefit of a barrier trial, but if not too much in need of the run, she should be right up there in the firing line on some of her past efforts. MISS SMARTY PANTS is a 3yr old filly who has drawn pole position. She won her last outing over five furlongs when friendless in the betting and should be a factor in this line-up. HE CAN STAR won his last start over five furlongs and despite having gate twelve, he may be able to trouble the top three selections.
