Race 1
Whilst the majority of the field in this the opening event on today’s program make their debut here, the raced runners do have fair form to their names. The best may prove to be ALTERNATE REALITY who finished second on debut over 1100M, just 0.8L behind the winner, despite being friendless in the betting market. She would have come on with the run under her belt and could be the one that they all have to beat. VIVILICI returns from a 19-week rest and has her first run for her new trainer. She has not been far off the action in her last three starts and if fully settled in her new surroundings, she could threaten the former. FRENCH BOSS drops back in trip from the six furlongs of her second start and could do better as a result. VALANETTI has her first outing without the benefit of a barrier trial. Any betting support for her, or indeed any of the other unraced entrants, should be respected.

Race 2
NEODIUM stayed on when fourth on debut over six furlongs. He would have learnt from the experience and with the natural improvement that can be expected, he should be right up there when they hit the line, jumping from his handy gate two. AMERICAN WHISKEY makes his debut but has had the two barrier trials, the latest of which was encouraging. Any betting support for him should be taken seriously.  NOTA SINGLE SECRET is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys and has her first run since a lengthy 55-week break. She has not had a barrier trial but did finish third on debut and if not too much in need of the outing, she could be involved in the finish, despite a wide fourteen draw. BON SHADOW has improved in his last two runs and was making good late progress last time out over 1100M. If he has continued along that same path, he should be respected in this line-up.

Race 3
This looks to be a tricky race and some caution is advised. Four 3yr old fillies could dominate the finish here and complete the quartet. STROBE LIGHT finished third second time out over the mile. She drops slightly in trip, but has a handy four draw and should be considered a big runner here. SWEET RIVIERE has her peak run today after finishing third over seven furlongs last time out on a synthetic surface. She is just as comfortable on today’s surface and could be a danger to the top selection. CRUNCHIE stayed on well in her last outing over a mile and although drawn wideout at fifteen, she should be doing her best work over the closing stages. RUE GRANDE also drops back in distance, but she finished fourth last time out over a mile and should not be overlooked here.

Race 4
LOVE HURTS was just 1.3L back last time out over the ten furlongs and from his six draw, he looks to be the one to side with today. DARCY EKCELS was a tad disappointing last time out over a mile, but a repeat of his penultimate effort over this distance would make him a threat to the former. DOWN UNDER DANCER is a 4yr old filly taking on males and steps up to the ten furlongs for the first time. If taking to the extra distance, she should be right up there in the mix. SHORT ‘N’ REGAL is a 4yr old filly who finished 1.3L behind the top choice last time out over this trip and is 1.5kgs worse off at today’s weights, which will make it difficult for her to reverse that result, but she should be considered for minor money.

Race 5
OXLEY JACK followed up his penultimate victory over this distance with a solid next run over the same trip when only 0.8L behind the winner. He has cracked pole position and may prove difficult to topple here. MISS HAYWORTH on the other hand has the widest draw of them all. She is a 3yr old filly taking on boys, but she has good gate speed which she should use to get across without using up too much energy. CHINA AFFAIR won at the second time of asking. That was over the five furlongs and whilst taking on stronger here, he will jump from draw four and could be up to the task on hand. GOJAZZ showed good improvement last time out over 1100M and if he is able to confirm that effort, he should be considered today.

Race 6
FRONT PAGE put nine and a half lengths between himself and the rest of the field when winning last time out over 1100M. He has a handy two draw and will be looking to complete the double here. WIND FORCE likes to race up with the pace and showed good improvement last time out when stepping up to six furlongs. He is not without a chance of finding the winners box today. BEAUTY BETTY is a 3yr old filly taking on males, but she has solid five-furlong form to her credit and did win last time out over the trip on the synthetic surface. She is a home on the grass and should be respected. DOUBLE DINK won his penultimate outing over 1100M before being put away for 45 weeks. His come back effort was encouraging and if not in need of one more run, he should be considered in his field.

Race 7
TATUNKA showed marked improvement when winning last time out over six furlongs. He has pulled pole position and will be seeking a quick double today. CAMPOBASSO returns from a 44-week break and has not had the benefit of a barrier trial. He is drawn one outside the former and drops in trip from the mile he took on last time out, which should be to his liking. GREEN IVY steps up in trip after finishing well in his last outing over six furlongs and should be involved in the finish here. AWAY CRUISING is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she is seldom too far off the winner and was making good late progress last time out when returning from a 22-week rest. She should give the males a good run for their money.

Race 8
EL GUERROUJ won his last outing over the c&d and will jump from gate six. He is not without a chance of repeating the victory in this field. GHOST DOCTOR likes to race up with the pace and finished 0.6L behind the winner last time out over seven furlongs. He will start from gate four and should be seen as a big danger to the top choice. KEY TO THE MAK is a 5yr old mare taking on the boys, but she won her penultimate start over 1300m and then followed that up by finishing third next time out over the seven furlongs. REALLY SWISH was also a winner of his penultimate start, but over seven furlongs and then finished 1.8L behind the winner next time out over the same distance. His wide draw of twelve is a bit of a concern, but he should be included in all bets.

Race 9
A tricky F&M Handicap end today’s program and the very weak selection is LA MARITA. She won her penultimate start over seven furlongs and then finished third, 2.5L behind the winner next time out over a mile. She has drawn gate five and should be right up there in the firing line. APPLE BAY won her penultimate outing over seven furlongs and was then staying on well last time out over the same trip. She is not without a chance in this contest. SANGRIA MISS was denied her hat-trick last time out over seven furlongs, but she has pole position here and will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways today. SHE WON’T LEAVE had her consistency rewarded when winning last time out over the c&d. She has draw fourteen to negotiate, but she should nevertheless not be discarded too quickly.
