Race 4
ZOEY LASS is a 6yr old mare taking on males, but she has shown steady improvement in her last two runs, winning the latest outing over nine furlongs by just under a length. She battled all the way down to the wire that day and if showing the same determination here, she should give the males a good run for their money. HELLO CHINA made good late progress when improving to finish second in his last start over five furlongs, just a head behind the winner. He rates as a big danger to the top choice. FOOTMARK stayed on well when finishing sixth last time out over seven furlongs. He steps up to the mile here, but on that last effort, he should have little problem going the extra distance. MONKERY has finished second in his last two runs over a mile, the latest when two and a half lengths back. He will be hoping to go one better today.
Race 5
BAUTISTA returns from a 20-week rest but did put in an encouraging barrier trial to prove his well-being. He raced wide when making this debut over six furlongs, but still managed to finish fourth, 1.8L behind the victor. The form of that race has been franked and with the natural improvement that can be expected, he is taken to be the best bet on today’s card, despite being drawn wideout at gate twelve. EXPECT A HERO showed solid improvement in his second run when finishing third over five furlongs. He gets to start from gate eight and could be the biggest threat to the top pick. BUDDABADAH is drawn one outside the latter and has his first run since a 23-week break. He has not had the benefit of a barrier trial so his fitness will have to be taken on trust. He also takes a big drop in distance, having been over a mile in his last three outings, but may well do better as a result.

Race 6
TALIANO has consistent formlines to his credit and ended up in second place last time out over seven furlongs, just a head behind the winner. He looked a possible winner close to home and although drawn wide at gate twelve out of the thirteen runners, he still looks to be the value in the race. OAMANIKKA on the other hand has cracked pole position. He steps up in trip after finishing second in his latest outing over six furlongs, but he is seldom far off the action and will have 3kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice. COSTA CHIN CHIN won his maiden race by a head last time out over this distance. He finished strongly that day, so his gate ten should not be such an issue as he is sure to be doing his best work late.
Race 7
This looks a tricky race to end the Jackpot and some caution is advised. MAGNAVALE is a 6yr old mare taking on males, but she has shown marked improvement in her last two runs, the latest when fourth over five furlongs. She stayed on well that day and should have little issue going the extra distance. Her draw four will do her no harm. NEVADA DANE followed up his penultimate run victory over five furlongs with a seventh-place finish, 3.3L behind the winner next time out. He has a wide draw of 10 to negotiate, but on the plus side, he will have 3kgs removed from his allocated weight courtesy of his claiming apprentice. HAZEL’S DIARY is a 5yr old mare who drops slightly in trip after finishing fourth last time out over six furlongs. She has a handy three draw and should be included in all bets. BEAUJEEN is a 7yr old mare who showed improvement when dropping down to a sprint distance last time out. She finished up in third place over 1100M that day and although drawn wideout at gate eleven, she should be right up there in the mix.

Race 5
MOEEN is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys. She drew clear to win by nearly two lengths on debut over this c&d and would no doubt have come on further with the run under her belt. She takes on stronger here and is drawn the widest at gate eight, but she could be up to the task on hand and complete her double. OBI has shown steady improvement in his last two outings, the latest when finishing fourth over this c&d. He was baulked for a run between the 400M and 300M mark that day and should have finished closer to the winner as a result. From his handy draw three, he could emerge as the biggest danger to the top choice. WIND FORCE stayed on well before ending up in fourth place in his last outing over six furlongs. He is drawn one inside the latter and should be involved in the finish here.

Race 6
KOSOWSKI is a speedy sort who has put in two solid efforts over the c&d. He was only beaten a short-head last time out and will jump from gate four. In addition, he will have 3kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice to aid his cause. GOROKAN EXPRESS won his last start over 1100M by some 1.3L despite being friendless in the betting markets. He has a wideish seven draw, but if he is able to confirm that last effort, he should be involved in the finish today. RUTH’S BOY has consistent formlines to his name and was making good late progress when fourth last time out over this c&d, 1.7L off the victor. He is drawn the widest of them all, but he should be doing his best work late. RICH AND RARE is a 4yr old filly taking on males and returns from a 24-week break. She has not had the benefit of a barrier trial, so her fitness will have to be taken on trust, but the blinkers come off for the first time and she does have a handy two draw. She drops back in distance here, but should be right up there when they hit the line.

Race 7
NO NEW TRICKS put two lengths between himself and the balance of the opposition when winning last tike out over the c&d. He won going away that day despite having to race wide early on. He is sure to put his pole position to good use and is made the best bet on today’s program. MISTRESS MOLLY is a 5yr old mare taking on boys. She was making late progress when finishing second last time out over the c&d, just a length and a half back from the victor. She has gate nine, but should be picking off the frontrunners over the latter stages of the contest. JUDGE JEANINE is also a 5yr old mare who stayed on well when finishing third last time out over 1100M, despite hanging in the closing stages of the race. She has a wide draw of eleven to negotiate, but she should be closing in on the leaders in the dash down to the wire.

Race 8
OCEAN BLAST had his consistency rewarded with his maiden victory last time out over seven furlongs. He won by nearly two lengths easing up that day despite hanging late on. He takes on stronger today and has a wide draw of thirteen to overcome, but he still looks to be the value in the race. DUTCHESSE MOSHE is a 6yrn old mare taking on males, but she is seldom far off the action and battled all the way down to the post when finishing second last time out over seven furlongs. She has a handy gate three and could be the biggest threat to the top pick. BONAPARTE has pulled pole position and just could not hold on for victory in his latest outing when finishing second over this c&d. He looked a winner when hitting the front at the 250M mark that day and is sure to put in another honest performance here.

Race 1
SING FOR VIOLET is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys and returns from a 21-week break, but she won her only barrier trial to prove her well-being. She has her hat-trick attempt here after winning her last two starts over 1100M and the manner in which she has dispatched her opposition in those last two runs, suggests that she will be hard to topple here. OVERSEAS has cracked pole position and won his maiden race last time out over six furlongs. He does however take on a four-time winner with just a 5kg weight difference and might have to settle for completing the exacta here. IMALI is another 3yr old filly in the race. She showed marked improvement when finishing third last time out over 1300M despite taking a bump down at the start. If she is able to reproduce that effort, she should be involved in the finish.
Race 5
EROE took a bump at the start last time out but recovered well to run on strongly and finish second over seven furlongs, just a half-length behind the winner. He jumps from gate eight and should be right up there when they hit the line. DJEBEL READY is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she just failed last time out over six furlongs to end up in second place, a short-head behind the victor. She has a handy two draw and could emerge as the biggest danger to the top choice. Although ACADEMY HILL finished fifth in his last outing over 1100M, he was only 1.4L off the winner. He starts from draw seven and should be included in all bets. TRUMP ME was making good late progress when finishing fourth in his last start over this distance. He is drawn the widest of them all, but given his style of racing, he should be dropped out of it early and then pick off the frontrunner over the latter stages of the contest.
Race 6
TA CHANSON has his hat-trick attempt hereafter finishing strongly to win his last start over 1100M by a neck. He has gate nine to deal with, but on that last effort, he should relish the extra ground on offer here and is taken to be the value bet on today’s card. TARTUFO BIANCO is a 5yr old mare taking on boys, but she also goes for her trio of wins here after posting her last victory over 1100M by a head. She stayed on well that day suggesting that she too should appreciate the extra distance of today’s race. From a kinder six draw, she could be a big threat to the former. DON’T DOUBT MAEVE is also a 5yr old mare. She has finished second in her last two outings, the latest over seven furlongs where she ended up a head behind the winner. She should have no issue with the drop back to six furlongs.
Race 7
EL SHADAY has consistent formlines to his name and failed by just a neck to win his last outing over five furlongs. From his pole position, he will be hoping to go one better today. LAST CHANCE is seldom too far off the action and was making good late progress when finishing third last time out over six furlongs, a neck behind the winner. He is drawn one outside the top pick and should make his presence felt in this line-up. OUR BOY PENDLES continue the trend in draws and will start from one gate outside the latter. He has made steady improvement in his last three starts culminating with a victory last time out over 1100M, despite being friendless in the betting markets. He may be good enough to secure his double here.
Race 8
SIR VAN DYKE did not quite go on with his finishing effort when ending up in second place last time out over ten furlongs and seem likely to enjoy the drop down to nine furlongs today. ELLE A WALKING on the other hand will take a step up in distance after finishing third in his last run over 1500M, 3.3L back. He will be aided by having 3kgs removed from his back courtesy of his claiming apprentice. EMILY’S SONG is a 6yr old mare taking on boys and is another who is stepping up in trip. She finished third last time out over a mile and may well be looking for this greater test of stamina.
