Race 1
DUNBAR makes his debut here, but he won his barrier trial and any betting support for him should be taken seriously. KALLAROO finished second when having his first run over 1100M, just 2.5L behind the winner. He was friendless in the betting market that day suggesting that he was not expected to win on debut. He would have come on with the run under his belt and if the former is not fancied today, he could be the best of the raced runners. THE SPRUIKER put in a solid barrier trial and if not too green in running, he should be considered here. NOBELLITY is a filly taking on the boys, but she has cracked pole position and was making good late progress on debut over five furlongs. She would have learnt from that experience and should be respected today.

Race 2
BLACK LIGHTNING has shown good recent improvement and was only beaten a head last time out over the six furlongs. She only needs to reproduce that effort and she would be difficult to topple today. CITY INVASION makes his debut here, but he has had the benefit of two barrier trials, winning the latest. Any betting support for him should be respected. FEMME PUISSANTE is a 3yr old filly who has her second run after a 16-week rest. She starts from gate eight and if not in need of one more outing, she should be involved in the finish here. HINCHINMOSE stayed on last time out over 1300M and should have no issue dropping back in distance.

Race 3
FREQUENT FRIAR and RIDING HOOD FAME renew their rivalry today and were only separated by 0.1L in their last clash over this c&d, in favor of the latter, who has pulled pole position, whereas the former has drawn the widest draw of them all. There should not be much separating the pair today, with the former getting the nod as he seems a tad more consistent. LOVE STRIKES and NIGHT SESSION also meet again today. They take the step up to ten furlongs after their last outing over a mile, where the latter finished 1.3L in front of the former, but LOVE STRIKES was held up for a run that day and should have finished closer as a result.

Race 4
SWIFT GONDO is a 3yr old filly taking on males, but she was just a length adrift last time out over 1500M and should appreciate the drop in the journey. RUN D’AFFAIRE RUN finished third last time out over 1300M, only 2.3L behind the winner. He has a handy three draw and should be right up there when they hit the line. KING CABERNET gets blinkers fitted for the first time and if these make him concentrate all the way to the finish, he should be respected today. KINDER KINDER is a 4yr old filly who was friendless in the betting market when nevertheless making a solid debut over six furlongs. She would have learnt from the experience and with the natural improvement that can be expected, she could trouble the top three selections.

Race 5
GINGER FLYER is a 3yr old filly taking on boys, but she is seldom far off the action and will have the advantage of jumping from pole position, which she is sure to put to good use. YEAH BRAVO showed good improvement when stepping up to the mile last time out and from draw six, he could pose a serious threat to the top choice. FAIREDU is a 4yr old filly who followed up her win over seven furlongs with a second-place finish over this c&d. She will get 3kgs removed from her back thanks to her claiming apprentice. FINGERMARK has consistent formlines to his credit and should put in another honest performance here.

Race 6
FIRESALE was a 4.5L winner of his penultimate start over seven furlongs and was then not disgraced next time out over the same trip. He starts from a mid-field draw and should be right up there in the firing line. COSTA DEL SANTO has pulled pole position and was a comfortable 1.8L winner of his last outing over seven furlongs and looks to be the immediate danger to the top pick. TRADENSIA is a 3yr old filly taking on males. She drops down from the mile of her last start and has drawn wide at ten out of twelve, but she is sure to enjoy the drop in trip after not quite going on with her effort last time out. SLUICE BOX was a fluent winner of his last outing over a mile and will be hoping to complete the double here.

Race 7
TRUTIARA is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she had her consistency rewarded by winning her maiden race last time out over six furlongs. She has gate ten to negotiate and does take on stronger here, but she could be up to the task on hand. SWEET RULER won over six furlongs on debut despite receiving no betting support, which suggests that he may be a better horse at the races than at home. He has a handy draw of three and should be afforded the utmost respect here. BALLADEER is another who won his maiden race last time out. That was over 1300M and he drops back to six furlongs today, but he has pole position and could follow up here. WESTERNIZE takes the step up from five furlongs, but will be aided by having 3kgs removed from his allocated weight courtesy of his claiming apprentice.

Race 8
WILD FRONT missed out on his hat-trick when finishing two lengths off the winner last time out over six furlongs. He will be looking to get back to winning ways today aided by having 3kgs taken off his back for the services of his claiming apprentice. SHERPA LASS is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she also missed out on her trio of victories last time out when stepping up to seven furlongs. She drops back in trip and will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways here. NEXT STOP THE MOON was a start to finish winner of his last outing over seven furlongs and although dropping in trip will probably attempt similar tactics today. TRAKIATO was hampered in his last start over 1100M and with a bit of luck in running today, he should be involved in the finish today.
