It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The son of Silvano would have gained from the experience and could be anything. He jumps from pole position and should remain unbeaten.

GIMMIE A STAR made the expected natural improvement to win his maiden over 1600m at Durbanville. He moved up with a ton in hand that day and fought hard to keep all challengers at bay. The son of Gimmethegreenlight should love the rise to 1800m. He does take on stronger, but looks to have ability and should be up to the task at hand.

He has been gelded since that outing which may have done him the world of good. The son of Oratorio has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. He makes his Handicap debut and can return to winning ways.
